I'm not sure I see the relevance to the candidate. The relationship between Obama and Ayers is largely indirect. The few ways in which they are directly related make no implications of Obama's involvement or support of Ayers' twisted ideology.

The article's title refers to Obama, but he's hardly discussed.

Ayers was a founder of the Chicago Annenberg Chalenge. As Chair of the CAC Obama made cash grants, plural, to Ayers programs. That is support.
