Comment on: my view

IMPORTANT: FOR TEXANS

your comment on my blog...

I registered at the website you gave. Didn't see a way to post comments but I will figure it out, I'm sure.

I have many concerns about secession. One biggy is the ability to stop illegal immigration from Mexico and immigration from the rest of the USA if we do declare independence. Interstate commerce and traffic through our state on the Interstate Hwy system. Texans who are dependent on Social Security and those on Medicaid/Welfare who are truly unable to work. Last but not least the large number of Liberals inhabiting our state already and increasing daily as they leave the cities of the northastern states. Many come here and bring their political ideology with them. Then there will be the need for taxes to pay for all the things already in place that probably the majority of Texans wouldn't want to see changes in.

Nothing would make me happier than for America to return to our Constitutional Republic. I love all of America, even though I am a very proud, native Texan!

Your concerns are good ones

and most are addressed on our site. As far as border security is concerned, we don't have it now, but would if we could enforce it ourselves, Social security would not, or should not be affected at all, since there are now many Americans living on foreign soil and collecting it. I think that is a moot point anyway, since Social Security and Medicaid are going to be broke in a matter of years anyway.

As far as northerners coming in, I truly believe it will happen, but only those who will be productive, since we could make sure that there is no welfare state in Texas, at least to the degree that it is now in America now. I don't think we would see the liberals, since our political climate would not be to their liking.

As far as posting on the site, click on the forum button at the top of the page, and it will probably ask you to log in or register, then you will be able to join in on the conversations that cover all you have mentioned, and much more.

Welcome aboard.

Sounds like a pretty good

call to arms. I'll be returning home to Foat Wuth upon my retirement from the US Navy (end of January 2010). We have no friends in either DC-based party right now. That must change.

Crawfish, give us a look

I know you will be glad to know that our movement is full of those who love Texas, and have decided that Washington DC doesn't have the answer to our problems, just more problems.

When you get out and return home, please join us, or if you would, join us now. Log onto the site http://www.texasnationalist.com and find the membership area. We would enjoy having you on our side.
