I agree this Gloucester Mass Gang-17 (GLM-17 to me, after the manner of that Reconquista Thug Gang ML-13 or MS-13 or something)----this GLM-17 is a CULTURAL one, and we are responsible. And I get it that when our generation passes a certain evil influence will pass with us. On the other hand you can argue the Kids and Grandkids (Gang17) we raised will be WORSE and INCAPABLE (for they have had no training, no models, no mentoring)of changing the slide into the Depravity Abyss.

I call it a Fertility Cult because the Dominant Social Value, the de reigeur Social Behavior, was to Conceive a Child. This harks back to Ancient Fertility Cults that Sacrificed the First Born (burned em alive--"pass through the fire" in Old Testament Usage)in order to insure the Productivity of both Womb and Land by a kind of sympathetic magic. They considered it a kind of Share Crop Tax.

Childlessness was considered a Great Shame and Public Humiliation in the Biblical World. In Gloucester too it seems.

When I see "Praxis" I process it through my Divinity Education lens where it always signaled the influence of Liberation Theology--fundamentally a Marxist View.

Don't worry, I am doing this as a "back-up" and to be a proper Boy Scout. If the economy goes "South", my little consulting engineering business could be out of work in a year.

Plus, at 57 I look forward to a bunch of Liberal-Types going up against me in math, science, or history. I have proven I know what I am doing.

And yes I can believe that you are a Preacher. Believe it or not I too have preached from the pulpit, led singing, and taught adult Bible studies. I was told that my studies of the books of Luke, Acts, and Joshua were some of the best that some people had ever had. I liked to bring alot of history into these studies, especially in Acts.

Your comparison, of the GLM-17 to the Philistines in particular and fertility cults in general, is interesting. I might have to do alittle research and see what I can come up with. It might explain a "black" cultural "rite-of-passage" in the Mississippi Delta that is so common now.

I was sorta winging it by memory--it was Moloch, I think I remember that they passed the babies through the fire. The Philistines worshipped Dagon--fish God, maybe? I think I remember the Cartheginians worshipping Moloch.

Let me know, I got to much going on to do the substantiating research now.
