No, that's NOT the question, much less the biggest one. If there were a question at all, it would be, "Will the Obama Administration hold unions accountable for anything?" Since the answer is already known, even THAT question is rhetorical.

.. I remember being called weird by many of my friends over the years for never taking a union job.

My father worked for GM around the time I was born, and left to become a machinist's apprentice.
He was also told he was crazy for giving up a cushy union job to work for less money and no representation. He eventually became one of the most sought after machinists in the state, and could basically name his price when applying for a job. He then left it all to open his own business. Again, he was called crazy.

One thing he repeated most of my childhood was, "If you work in a union, you are just paying for some fat-cat's vacation house."

Too bad most of my friends didn't listen to those words, they've been bankrolling this golf course, and other "Perks" for the union leaders with every paycheck. And most of them are now laid off.

Who's crazy now?

Am I to believe that the wonderful UAW is full of Cheats and Frauds?

...who can't fight their own battles. There are scores of good employment attorneys out there if it comes to that. Most of the time all disputes can be solved at the HR level and within the company. Most HR folks are there to be an advocate of the employee and are generally good at it. Why pay union dues every month?
I have no faith in either the democrats or the GOP to go after these uaw scoundrels. DD

to do anything about unions. Not that the Republicans have done anything. But the dems are in bed with the unions. They scratch each other's backs. If anything, unions will get bigger and stronger. And the democrats will get more millions from them.
