Wesley Clark On Morning Joe

Wesley Clark was just interviewed on MSNBC’s Morning Joe trying to float the same exact talking points related to the Sunni and Shii’a change in their approach and doing his best to diavow any linkage with our increase in troop strength through the Surge.

The Surge was a resounding success. We’re down about 20,000 troops from peak numbers during the Surge. So technically, it sounds like the Surge is over.

Even after it became crystal clear that the Surge was working as planned, here’s what BO had to say on November 11, 2007:

“Finally, in 2006-2007, we started to see that, even after an election, George Bush continued to want to pursue a course that didn’t withdraw troops from Iraq but actually doubled them and initiated a Surge and at that stage I said very clearly, not only have we not seen improvements, but we’re actually worsening, potentially, a situation there.”

When the former Comminity Organizer made this claim, US troop deaths were down by two-thirds since June, civilian deaths were down 60%, overall violence in Iraq was down 65% (85% today year-over-year) and al Qaeda was being handed defeat after defeat.

Obama wasn’t just in denial, he was delusional. The only difference between then and now is, he’s the Democrat nominee for President. Junior Senator Barack Obama has to be vague and elusive because facts do not matter to the activist left in this country.
