The process will happen either slowly with us picking and choosing which issues to drive forward at a grassroots level or we will continue to slip until there is another tea party...

I personally believe that a great 1st step on the grassroots level is the FairTax. It gives "We the People" back some power and helps our national competitiveness and economy.

By the way, if in California, I am starting a FairTax discussion group fo anyone interested... Google "SoCal FairTax" for more information.

Yt_Knight - I have a tendency to agree that FairTax may well be rally point that a lot of people can become involved with.
Perhaps, it we can move it forward and have some success, those that get involved will enjoy the exercise and be willing to expend similar energy on other issues.
I would be glad to join your effort by trying to organize the same kind of effort here in Utah. I will look up "SoCal FairTax" and see what is cooking.
