Two very crooked politicians in one room. I wonder who's further left though? Obama did his usual, spend lots of tax dollars to get nothing accomplished, but actually got outspoken! And the media is acting like this visit accomplished something.

This is excellent! I am a bit (very little bit) younger and don't remember diving under a desk. But I do remember everything after that given my parents and I talked about all these events you have listed here. And of course, I remember Reagan's "order" to Gorby.
What is so very disconcerting is that there is no "reset" button any longer since the likes of Franken is elected to the Senate and sits on the UnJustice Committee. While I would like to blame the citizenry of MN, we ain't no better here in Virginia.

Him and his government of czars who answer only to him will dictate the USA (and their allies) into a mouldering grave. We need to emulate Reagan, march to DC by the multi-millions and demand "TEAR DOWN THIS GOVERNMENT".

The Chosen One did his usual by spending lots of tax dollars to get nothing accomplished except another diminishment of our nation's stature. The Arrogant One got schooled again, and still didn't learn the lesson, do the homework, or even come close to passing the test.
Okay, I'm not quite in the same generation. I was in 2nd grade when the final American cease-fire went into effect in Vietnam (Mom and I were with Dad on a business trip to DC...driving around the city at night. Directly in front of the White House when the radio starts blaring the Hallelujiah Chorus and the church bells start ringing. We didn't know what was going on!). Reagan was shot on my 16th birthday. My first vote would have been for his re-election, but my absentee ballot didn't get delivered to me in college.

Hi, Mrs. AL!
So often people remark, what would Reagan do? We know to this very day, he would have done everything in his power to protect our nation and people, no matter the consequences.
Many libs continue to hate George W. Bush to this day with a vengance I cannot understand.
Al Franken in the Senate. How could that have happened? We were watching the opening statements of the Senators for La Muchacha Sotomayor`s hearing. Franken called her the "most qualified nominee in the history of the SCOTUS!" (Gag.)
Your beautiful "Dogwood" state of Virginia is about to elect a Governor. Very interesting that Terry Mac lost the primary. teeheehee! You behave yourself, Mrs. AL! If you do get yourself in some trouble, rest assured, we all have your back!

Putin is a typical former KGB Russian. Everything relates back to the fact that the USSR lost the "Cold War". And he is still "P*ssed" about that fact.
But O'Vomit doesn't understand that (and never will).

Eric did nail it. I was only eight when Reagan was elected and I was an "unofficial volunteer" for his campaign at hte age of 12 when my mom volunteered for him. But I am a student of history. Reagan was a leader he had the guts to tell the Soviets "We are leaving" and got up form the table when they wanted us to get rid of "Star Wars" aka SWDI. Now that we have an intern in office you can see him give away the store very easily.
