Yeah, McCain was smart to pick a woman -- she will appeal to conservatives and those who will vote for a woman just because. So, whoever wins, there will be cries of racism or sexism.

What they don't realize in the insulated circles which they walk in is that much of us in the uneducated flyover country that they dismiss are beginning to tune them out and make our own decisions. We may like a ticket that includes a graduate of The Naval Academy and The University of Idaho rather than Ivy league elites that have aspired to high office for their whole lives. They don't get that their dismissal of her as a hick or a token woman will domore harmt han good to their cause.

I was very happy with the choice of Governor Palin. I have been amazed for months with her approval rating. Look at Gov Arnold, what are his approval ratings? He is starting to make Gov Davis not look so bad! Ugh!

Anyway, I am glad that he chose her. I did want him to choose Romney, but I think that Palin was the better choice. He did surprise everyone. And at least with leading up to it, there was great a surprise at the end.

It was funny when I was talking to my dad. He really wanted Romney. I told him that he did not pick Romney and my dad said, please not the dud from Minnesota. When I told him that he chose a woman, he said, good God not Hillary. No, sorry dad, he chose Sarah Palin. And of course my dad was like, who? And I said the Gov sitting on the goldmine of ANWR. And my dad's reply was, the woman withe the great approval ratings. Yes, that would be her.
