Keith, strong words
and well said. These sentiments are almost exactly mine. The only question in my mind is who is really about to surrender. Agreed, the North is on the ropes, and yes they are trying to drag us all down with them. Will the South rise up and be strong? Will we be able to lead the way? Even we Southerners have grown soft. Can we grit up and do what is necessary?

I agree with Bob's my uncle.
I think the south has grown soft. How else can one explain Lindsey Graham as senator of South Carolina?
At least they have DeMint,

Three Cheers to you, Keith Arnold
Great post. I'm new to your site and loved this one. It's way past my bedtime, but I'll be back tomorrow to read your other posts.
In the meantime, when you have a minute, stop by my place and consider joining fellow TH blogger. We need all the conservative voice we can muster. C'mon by.

I understand your unique perspective.
I was born in Mass., lived there for part of my childhood, moved to Cali. where I spent 18 core years of my life, in my mid 20's we moved to WA state for a few years, and now we reside in NC, and have been here for over 13 years.
I enjoyed the part of Cali that I lived in, by the time I was graduating High School all of the gang members were heading to our area to'get away from La', and pretty much take over our small town.
North Carolina is an awesome place to live. I love the southern hospitality and the way country folk can spot right from wrong in a wink of an eye.
I watched the leftist liberal idealogy creep in to VA and the entitlement mentality rise through BHO's message in NC. Both states went blue in the election.
I agree with letting the north have all of their liberalism and letting us get on with God, family, country, and a good, hard, honest days work.
'Anyways'... we say that a lot around here..
God bless you and thanks for sharing your post .

Nothing ever stays the same, and as bad as things are...it's most likely going to get worse before that orneriness kicks in and the people say no more.

Keith, the "Concord and Lexington"...
moment will be the 2nd Amendment, just as it was in 1775. And from what Red Nancy, Dingy Harry, and O'Vomit seem to be saying, I would expect the moment to occur during the first 360 days of the new administration.

As a native-Texan...
...I agree. And I agree w/Bob's Nephew. No one seems to have the stomach for a fight these days. As I understand it there are 22 right-to-work states. If the leadership of the Big 3 had a brain one amongst them they'd be excited about declaring bankruptcy, then moving their operation, lock/stock/barrel to one of these 22 states out of the jurisdiction of the evil uaw. Great piece, Stand. DD

As a Florida boy, this was entertaining. You’ll have to make some concessions for our likeminded friends in the Midwest.

The SECOND Assumption Plan
This all sounds so familiar. Remember the "Assumption Plan" that Alexander Hamilton imposed on the South during the 1790s? Even then, the South was getting the worst end of the deal. I say we get rid of the Constitution and go back to the Articles of Confederation!
I know, I know, a little too extreme. But we need to re-establish the ideology that the Federal government is subservient to the states, and not the other way around. Let Virginia decide for Virginia what to do with their businesses. Let Michigan deal with their Automomaker crisis.
I don't want another assumption plan.

New alignment
As a retired pastor living in SoCal, I often wish we could divide SoCal from NoCal. The voting patterns in those areas might be different. Same with S.Jersey and N.Jersey. The ideas that so many of our fellow citizens having a welfare , cradle to the grave mentality, with security over freedom allows them to be bamboozled by a socialist pacifist agenda of the new Dems in charge. Tax and spend doesn't bother them as long as those evil capitalists get nailed. They haven't figured out that tax cuts worl. So we now will have a trillion dollar stimulus which won't stimulate because the very people who could provide jobs and innovations will be punished. And there is some idea that the conserv Pubs, or just conservs will still do well in the South, the SW, and in some Plains states. But, don't bet on it. As the media and the new Messiah completes the brainwashing, all 'this free enterprise, individualism stuff' will fall by the wayside if the unwashed get their victimhood affirmed and their dollars from the rest of us productive people. Stop my my blog and give me your insights.
