Intellectual curiosity. Now that could get you in trouble. After all, we're just the "folks". Good one, girl.

The Hypocrisy is Shocking
The hypocrisy of the Obama campaign's fundraising juggernaut is simply shocking and I'm glad that you pointed it out in your post. It's that classic old... dare I say... socialist mentality that determines the end as justification for the means. He MUST spend all of that money on the campaign because by winning he will be able to save all of us. Give to me now so I can save you later. Unfortunately, the hurricane is on our doorstep and having us pay today for sandbags that won't arrive until a week from now isn't helping. When will America see the absence of any record of DOING THINGS.
He claims to have foreseen problems at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac years ago. His response: Write a letter and keep taking contributions, instead of sponsoring legislation or even organizing a caucus of support for reform of those GSEs.
He is an overachiever whose ego has been allowed to swell unchecked. I only hope that McCain can find a way to build on the small gains he has seen in the polls and earn a victory in November.

Why doesn't McCain call you? hmmmmmmm
Cindy, you just absolutely nailed it. You are so right and I am so frustrated that it takes someone from the "outside" to express what so many of us feel and have noticed. What has happened to the "watchdog" job of journalists? Seeing them spending so much of their time destroying "messengers" (Joe the Plumber, etc.) instead of dissecting the message has opened all our eyes. Reading their nasty hit pieces on someone like Cindy McCain, who struggled with prescription drugs 20 years ago, is considered "fair game", but discussing Obama's cocaine use 20 years ago is off-limits. Have they no shame and do they think they make any sense to the majority of us? Thank you, Cindy, for your wise words and for putting our thoughts, so eloquently stated, "out there" for all to see. Hopefully more "undecideds" will make the right choice come Nov. 4!

BMU - curiosity saved the folks
Well, BMU, if journalists have thrown in the towel, then I suppose we will have to rely on ourselves and our own intellectual curiosity to save us. I think it's come to that. Thankfully, we still have some and it hasn't all been dulled out of us with excessive ingestion of Kool-Aid.
Hmmmmm.

senator2012 - hypocrisy: the new normal
I wish I could say it is shocking. I am offended by it, but not shocked. It is expected from the (yes!) socialist-minded, 60s throw-backs that are still hanging on, living in a world that no longer exists. I find it very interesting indeed that these same people who promise to cure "poverty" (quotes indicate a willful disbelief) by making everyone poor...are the ones who most benefit financially from these elitist policies. With straight faces, they are able to call those who dare question them, "elitists". It is absurdity to the nth degree. Why hasn't anyone noticed the extreme wealth of THESE elected officials? How is this pardoned? How do people expect they will provide goods and services for their families if they destroy or cripple all the profitable corporations?
Oops, sorry, I just keep getting into more and more things that make me go, "Hmmmmm".
I don't know if Obama is an overachiever - I don't know what he has achieved besides a swollen ego. You can count me still among the believers that McCain/Palin will find a way to victory in November!
Thanks for stopping by - keep the faith!

Yes....Hmmm indeed
It's unfathomable the amount of events happening that would've normally stopped the meida in it's track and Congress would be demanding answers quickly. But that was back in the day. Our local talk show, it's host and callers, all have a feeling of 'dread' especially if Obama get's into Office.
My hope and prayers are that this is all MSM driven and that 'The People' will vote in droves and overwhelmingly for McCain/Palin.
If not...then Socialism will not only have a foot in our door, but half a body.

One friend recently said that if Obama has steel in his spine, he must have lead in his brain. Forget robo-calls: the real problem are the "intellectually curious" robo-libs!
Keep the entries coming!

Hmmm indeed
The "Dear Leader's" contributions have come from folks like none other than Saddam Hussein, Usama Bin Laden, and other "donors". A report on FNC showed how simple it is to forge your name when donating to "that One's" campaign. The Fed. Elections Commission is supposed to collect the list of donors and the amounts given - but apparently is as impotent as a eunuch when enforcing illegal contribution fraud. So guys like Clooney, Soros, Alec Baldwin, Joy Behar, and Oprah can give tens of thousands to Obama's campaign.
Sure, he says he's getting individual contributions - but all from the same group of ultra left elites. THIS ELECTION IS BEING STOLEN BY THE LEFT AS SO-CALLED PAYBACK FOR 2000 & 2004!

Obama's "record fundraising"
First, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my brief post-"Obama and Free Speech".
Now as far as Obama's fundraising goes, it is obvious that the LSM (Left Stream Media) is in the tank for Obama and this is another way they want to tout their man. After all, if so many of the "little people" are sending him contributions then he must have their support right? NOT! Reality is it is people such as the Hollywood types (can anyone say $28,500.00 a plate?), "Joe the Hedgefund Manager" (Obama's words) and "Doodad Pros" (illegal contributions from Hamas supporters) who contribue to Obama and his campaign. Oddly, enough Obama finds the time and energy to raise these millions for his attempt at begin POTUS yet he does nothing for his brother in Kenya or his aunt in Boston.If Obama is truly receiving moneys in small increments from all of the "little people" why isn't he more forthcoming about where the monsy comes from;
"...asking them to provide more details about their small donors. The McCain campaign agreed to do so, but the Obama campaign rejected the request." Jake Tapper-http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/10/rnc-to-demand-f.html
Obama and his followers are not only truth challenged, but reality challenged.

trespassers will - more shenannigans
I've been following the (quote) investigation (unquote) into Obama's donations...and it will be too late if and when they ever dig to the bottom of that - but pre-paid credit cards and thwarting credit system security procedures will be at the crux of it, it looks like. So much for new politics and transparency.
Shutting down oppositional opinion, refusing to reveal funding sources, lying, covering up one's background...there are just way, way too many question marks, in my opinion, to make the regular cautious American comfortable in the voting booth.
