Let's repeat that...

Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.

So where, again, does the Constitution permit entitlements? Good post....

Good morning. I just wanted to clarify my position on your request yesterday. I am at work right now. I'm surprised that I am able to post on TH, let alone start a blog. I tried to set one up when I first joined, but no dice! I can't even enter a chat room here! Thats why I can't be of any help to ya! Sorry

Keep up the good work. Liked your articles

moral principles; it is in vain to look for public virtue; it is, therefore, the duty of legislators to enforce, both by precept and example, the utility, as well as the necessity of a strict adherence to the rules of distributive justice.
James Madison, in response to Washington's first Inaugural address, May 18, 1789

....This shows that the Constitution was to be guarded against being interpreted as a living Document by our Founding Fathers.

Cindy

There are many clues to the Constitution being a base upon which our country stands and not a living document to only be adhered to when convenient. One day we will be forced to bring our government back to the constitution.
