If you give a child a penny, it makes him happy. However, you KNOW you are being mean, because he can't but anything with it.

However, even if a penny makes your hand stink, and you can't buy anything with it, don't throw it away. Your g grandmother would roll over in her grave. And if you will give up a penny, you really should give up a nickle as well, by the same argument.

Wait. Is a gallon of gas really a gallon? Why don't we have county measuring standards that constantly guarantee we are actually getting one whole gallon? What if a company has a smaller gallon? What if it is a tiny bit smaller than anyone else's? Hm. Measurements are such silly things. Why quibble over a penny?
