...can't wait to hear the spin

I haven't seen the video, but I would love to have seen this guy's face after Obama basically said, yes, I'm going to take money away from you and give it to other people who have made different, less profitable, choices.

I'm sure there will be some very good spin that will make the media adore him even more.

Dumfounded

The plumber looked confused and Obama very quicklyrealized what he sai and tried to change it.

Here are the problems with healthcare

People need an education about the ramifications of much of Obama's agenda. His health care plan is the conception of socialism in American society. These blind followers in unions do not realize that his proposal passively diminishes their collective bargaining. As BO said everyone that "doesn't like their plan can join the same plan that Senator McCain and I enjoy".
Problems:
1. We taxpayers foot the bill for that one.
2. Health insurance is a free enterprise, the US has 2 national plans Medicare and the Veteran's Administration.
3. His proposal will devastate health insurance companies.
4. As proposed, employers will be encouraged to offer substandard health plans so tha employees will opt for the government plan. This is simple business economics.
5. This reduces the labor unions bargaining clout for health benefits, which is always a point of negotiation.
6. The plan infringes on state's rights, since each state legislates their insurance.
7. Health care insurers are both nonprofit and proprietary. Proprietary plans are public entities with stockholders their loss will once again effect the economy. Nonprofits are the generators of health insurance.
8. The Center for Medical Education (2003) notes a 54% decrease in enrollment for primary care physicians and a similar decline in internal medicine. This translates to decreased access to healthcare, and will make the breadlines of the depression look short. It is quantity, not quality.
9. The financial debacle will impact the economy and employment.
10. It creates a further disparity in healthcare for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
11. This plan will create astronomical financial and tax burdens for his precious middle class (us).

AND as an FYI,
BO did not come up with the electronic medical record (EMR). It was incorporated into the Medication Error Reduction Act (MERA) in 2001 by a republican congress.

Here is the counterprosal

Counterproposal
1. A $5,000 tax credit is a start.
2. We need for employers to offer lower coverage at lower premiums and employees use their extra money to have healthcare spending accounts (pre tax).
3. These accounts need to be available to individuals, and roll over annually. Don't forget, you now have more money from the tax break.
4. Employers need to provide umbrella coverage, which they get at lower rates for catastrophic illness, much like welfare funds. Part of the problem is that we pay for services that many of us never use.
Result: The insurance market remains stable. More people can afford health insurance. There is less waste. People have control over their money and healthcare.

McCain needs to give these 4 concise points, and
and use the previous points to attack Obama.
Pass it around.
