I remember, too.

As a former New Yorker (1979-1990) I saw the city I love being attacked.

I remember the sight of frightened human beings helping one another at a time of unimaginable fear, especially those magnificent firemen and police officers.

And I remember a coward of a President who, after being told that American citizens were leaping to their deaths, chose to pick up a copy of a children's book called "My Pet Goat" and read it for the next 22 minutes.

I remember, too, learning later that the President received a daily briefing on August 6, 2001 entitled "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US," and chose to do nothing about it.

I remember a mayor (with whom I had plenty of disagreements on other issues) bravely walk right into the worst of the disaster as the President and VP hid in bunkers like school kids in the 1950s practicing for nuclear fallout.

Heartbreaking and infuriating memories.

Not as long as Americans who cherish our God given liberty CONTINUE to STAND!!I was on my way to work when I heard of the attacks---I saw the second tower fall. WE MUST REMEMBER and NEVER FORGET!!(I have a 9/11post ) come on by.
