Comment on: Betsy's Back Up America

Obamacare and The United States Constitution

And the whole enchilada

is wrapped up nicely by that pesky old TENTH AMENDMENT.

Betsy, you get the traditional Navy "Well Done!" from The Crawfish.

Right On!

Betsy,
Thank you for pointing the obvious to those of us who were taught NON revisionist history.
Unfortunately, the U S Government, has blatantly disregarded the Const & BOR's, for a L_O_N_G time.
This is OUR fault.

Exactly-it's about freedom

The emphasis on the cost of Obamacare has driven me crazy. By focusing on that, the Dems can claim success when they invariably come up with a "revenue neutral" plan [which will be all smoke and mirrors anyway].

However, as you have delineated so well, the true problem is expanding government power in violation of the Constitution regardless of the economics.

We are on the verge of nullifying the intent of the Founding Fathers and once that happens there will be no turning back.

Yesterday on Glenn Beck there was an excellent discussion of this flagrant power grab and one legal group is already preparing to challenge the Constitutionality of any law that passes if it attempts to create socialized medicine.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Crawfish - Actually, the 9th gives the people even more power than the states, since it supercedes it so in other words it is the people's consent that would be needed by the states in order to any amendment after the first ten to really be "lawful," at all. Of course, some which have been passed are within the parameters of the intent of the founders (slavery issue, women's vote as property holders due to wars and widowhood, etc), but the 16th definitely would have needed to have been ratified by the people as a direct tax on their labor.

Terry - You are correct, it is the boomers unfortunately and older Americans that got the right education, and those really exceptional younger people that supplemented their public educations with an interest in American history that also know the truth, rather than the lies.

Response

JD - That is the game, and of course the powers that be have stacked the deck in the Supreme Court so that any such challenge will be upheld for political purposes - since the entire idea of stare decisis was invented by the Court outside Constitutional parameters - and they haven't been able to also interpret or read it for over 100 years with any accuracy. Look at all the violations and such that have occurred since Ginsburg is even on record as believing it is a "living" document. And the Supremes have no authority whatsoever to amend it in any of their decisions NONE WHATSOEVER - not for "public safety" or "state interests" since those words are not found within it.

So such a challenge would be frivolous at best. What is needed is criminal complaints against all of them to be filed.

And notice, the ACLU has not said a word. And are governmentally funded also, and are agents of the Rockefellar world government agendas. They are licking their lips over this one, since it is an Act guaranteed to place us into a financial abyss much greater than what is going on now.

Since our economy is now merged with other nations, that deficit is actually a hoax anyway - since the French still owe us money from their own Revolutionary War way back when.

What a travesty, and what a bunch of garbage.
