Hey Grizz,

I agree with you totally. I'm in Australia (an Australian who follows American politics closely and has Republican views) and I think your observation is spot on. I had even heard of Sarah Palin, and i'm in Australia! Her, and Bobby Jindal, I've watched closely for a while now.

Really it comes down to values and not experience. We like to throw around the 'inexperienced' tag, but a lot of people don't mind a 'relative' lack of experience if the 'judgment' appears correct and they show a sophisticated intelligence and worldview. For me, A Christian, pro-life, pro-Iraq war, pro-family, I look at Sarah Palin and see the true 'hope' for the next generation. But liberals look at her and get the same feelings we get when we look at Obama. The motivation, values and drive don't count for anything if they weren't on your checklist in the first place.

Of course it's not the same. Palin has been a governor for a short time, but with real results, and with 'real' reform. Obama's spent the majority of his first senate term campaigning to be President. But I guess Marxists count Leninist revolution rhetoric as experience, haha.
