You say we were not at war during the Carter administration. Actually, Iran committed an overt act of war during his time in office. The fact that Carter chose not to treat it as such doesn't change that fact.

Other than that, I agree entirely. I have been arguing that Obama is too dangerous to hold office for some time. Then again, what sane person hasn't?

Well, a few who are so opposed to McCain that they seriously ask "how much harm could Obama do?" Glad to see yet another person is providing an answer, and it is "quite a bit".

I don't know your position on McCain, I am myself a reluctant supporter, but I still can't understand how anyone can look at Obama and think putting him in office, even to "send a message", is a good idea.

Some claim that Iran did not take our embassy it was just "some students". However, Iran did nothing to stop them, allowed them to come and go without hindrance. So, as far as I am concerned, Iran was granting its approval to their actions. And that is an act of war.

I agree except that unde that horrible President Jimmy CArter , I ran by taking our embasy actually declared war on US.
Americans must be reminded daily of Barry's ineptness, inexperience and dangerous and naive views on the war on terror and the military as a whole.

Yes, I "messed-up" on Carter, his acts of Treason should be taught in every school, Destroying our staunch ally in Iran among other things, would have made a great difference in todays War with Islam.

There are two very basic reasons for voting for McCain, 1) He will not surrender in Iraq or in the War with Islam, and 2) He will appoint Conservative Judges to the surpeme and all other Federal Courts, this in the long run may be the most important. As for everything else, I accept his promise on taxes but for the rest he is too close to Kennedy and his ilk.His Presidency will only be a holding force untel we can elect another true conservative.

The Election of Obama as the Secular Progressive Communist Leader (SPCD) together with the SPCD Congress would give them 4, God Help us 8 years to turn whats left of our Constitutional America into a Secular Progressive Communist Nations like those in Europe and slowly in England as well.

It isn't comprehensive, but it is a pretty good summary of Carter's presidency. Handy when I need to refute some young leftist who wants to tell me what a great man Carter is.

Then again, his current actions should be enough to convince people he is far from a great man.

Sir, The sad thing is that with the take over of most of our Colleges and Universities by the "Sedcular Progressive Communist" Instructors and Professors there are now all too many "Brain Washed" Leftist Young People.

This without question is true, this obomunist will do whatever he can to cut the legs out from under our military, I recently finished a military career that started under Regan and ended last year. the 80's build-up was much needed, the state of the military after vietnam poor at best, and watching clinton gut our forces through the 90's was a crime.
