Excellent Acronyms!

You should get this out there. It's sure to stir some ...stuff... up. Good job!

Thanx Red

Had to clean it up some. Trying to figure out how to put the most pertinent parts on a thread with a theme that fits the topic.

There are some points where I disagree with you on this. However, I will say that if Barak Obama does become president, there will be a call for an end to AA as his presidency will become symbolic to America's separation from its racist past. There is some truth to this but race relations is a long journey and I think is still more work to do - Obama being president or not.

The black community is much more diverse then you articulate - although the voting patterns may not reflect that, for those who are familiar with black people understand that there are a lot of divergence on the topics regarding this country.

As for me voting for Obama - yes I will. I voted for him when he was in the Illinois Congress, I voted for him for the US Congress and I'm going to vote for him for President.

You did use the 'magic' words..."America's separation from its racist past" but to call Obama's nomination or election "symbolic" is missing the point that as a country we have come a long, long way without Obama's 'healing us'.

I would vote for a black man IF he were the RIGHT MAN for the job (that man could be you for all I know) like Michael Steele for instance but I am absolutely sure Barak Obama IS NOT the right man for the job.

Too many "iffy" acquaintances, too little experience, too Afro-centric. The job of President is to protect all of the people EQUALLY and, I don't see Obama as the 'uniter' he claims to be.

His main backer, Sen.Kennedy, for all the reverence given him by rank & file Democrats has (in 1980) attempted to collude with a Premier of the Soviet Union (Yuri Andropov).
Add that to the fact that Obama is a 'follower' of Saul Alinsky and he has more of the 'Manchurian Candidate' in him than anything else.

I will not sell out my country to make history by voting for "A First" of any category - black, woman, Druid, etc...This country is really a we've got going for us, even when it seems it doesn't work too well, it is still better than any alternative out there.

But it is up to us to keep it that way.
