Obama: Do We Know You

Elain, got your comment on "my view from right field" and thanks for your thoughts. I realize that the left would never debate in a open and fair way but that was the point I was trying to make. I agree with your comments about the "illness" of the left. Like you say, unfortunately they are in charge now and we'll pay the consequences for the lack of involvement from the rest of the people (the ones that choose not to vote in Nov). I believe that the country is 70/30, 70% conservative and 30% liberal but all of them vote and only about a third of us vote, this is why it appears like a split country. Maybe it's me hoping that the there are not that many "stupid" people out there.

I am concerned with your last comment, that you are not feeling optimistic about our country, I hope you do not give up! I am still optimistic, America is still a great country, it has been very good to me and my family. For the kid of a poor Polish coal miner to have accomplished what I have is only possible in America. I hope my grandchildren have the same opportunity but I truly believe that it is the American sprit that drives our desire and success and the Government really has nothing to do with it.

Hang in there and keep writting and keep communicating, it is very important that the voice of the opposition stay strong and we need to let everyone know that there are intelligent people out there that do not agree with the insanity that we are having shoved down our throats.

Remember worship God not Government!
