I find that liberals don't pay attention

They are so zealously devoted to their talking points that they don't take the time to digest what you tell them.
Their attack on religion for instance. They don't really understand it; they have already made up their minds that it is ignorant superstition with no basis in science and therefore, dismissable. Religion is only useful to them if it helps forward their agenda.
