You are correct in identifying that Iran's major threat comes not from its conventional military, but rather from its associations with terrorists.

At this point, it appears that diplomacy has run its course. That doesn't mean that a war is the only way. Michael Ledeen, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, believes that Iran is still amenable to internal regime change. If this is so, everything that can be done to promote that must be done. It is a matter of national, and economic, security.
