The torture here no doubt lies in the unpredictability of when one will be awoken. So actually, alarm clocks for the prisoners would be a giant leap forward toward human rights respectability. Well, sort of. The torture business is simply a matter of this is George Bush's war. If the left were so keen on protesting torture, they'd be on the other side of the Gitmo fence.
