GOP Platform re: Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

lessons learned?

What a fantastic blog!

I truly think Palin will have a lot of unofficial clout on this ticket.

I also suspect McCain "heard" the American people inre to illegal immigration. He has said he knows his bill would never pass if attempted a second time. Just a couple of thoughts. But I dropped by and loved what you had to say.

Cheers.

Thank you very much. As you can see, not many people have commented on my writing. I don't know, maybe what I write sounds too much like lecturing.

I do appreciate your comment. I checked the Republican Party platform at the RNC site and they have a "plank" that opposes amnesty for illegal aliens. I know what a politician's word or promise is worth, my state Senator is Mel Martinez, but with the addition of Sarah Palin as the VP candidate there is some chance for holding their feet to the fire to prevent an amnesty and require law enforcement. "Some chance" is vague, but it's all we have.

I do not think your writing is "lecturing" at all! Perhaps you do not post enough on the columns, and folks don't come here for that reason? I only found your link because I was reading a months-old column...

You are so right, "some chance" is all there is on that issue. However, he opposes signing on to the UN's Child Rights Convention, so I have to weigh out my priorities just like everyone else and vote for McCain. And a Dem Congress is going to be just the devil, as usual.

Will look forward to your next blog entry! :)

Good point

But I cannot see rewarding McVanity with the Oval Office after decades of him kicking Conservatives in the sack!
