CONSERVATIVE MINORITY

The fact of the matter is that the conservative population around the country is getting older and dying off. The younger generation is more socially liberal regarding subjects like abortion and homosexuality, as well as other social issues.

The demographic has been measured in polling and evidenced in this election. It is simply a matter of time before some topics – like gay marriage – disappear from the political stage altogether as a vast majority of Americans will simply not care who marries whom.

However, all you staunch conservatives still have hope because liberalism and conservatism tend to keep a sort of rocky equilibrium that fluctuates like a pendulum. So while the current trend may be towards liberalism (or moderation), it will eventually reverse on many issues and return to a more conservative place.

Though I am more of a liberal or moderate Republican, we need to hear all the voices in America so that we can be sure to make the best choices for our country.
