Republicans - What a Joke
I am amused that some people hope and pray that the Republicans will get back in office and somehow everything will turn good again.
Or they think that getting rid of the pro-Cap and Trade Republicans will put the party back on track.
In fact the Republicans have shown time after time they are nothing but Democrat-lites. They NEVER cut a program. They hardly restrain spending, and their love of government and regulation is unbounded.
I wish I could offer a solution, but I can not.

I am nearly there with ya. I do not hope that they get back in power, unless they purge themselves of the RINO's. I am very very close to just calling out for a third party, however I think it will take too long for a third party to make major headway, I think. For now, we must fix what we have instead of starting anew.

Have to agree with Charles here. The GOP is going to be RIP,or go the way of the party they replaced, namely the Whigs,if they don't figure out WHY their "reaching out to the mushy middle"is causing their arms to be shorter.I think the time for a new party that could make an impact is here,IF a conservative now hiding in the shadows would come out,who is known to the public at large, and be able to communicate WHY this would be the way to go as opposed to the status quo.

The only way a third party can move in is if the conservatives that are already in congress move to that party. There would need to be a pretty conservative head of the party to turn away any fakes from entering as well.
I just don't see that as viable, unless we are looking at a violent uprising and replacing government officials with new conservatives. It will take too much time; time we don't have. If this cap and trade bill passes, it may be just what conservatives need to jump back into the game, but Im not optimistic of a third party making much headway fast.
I am pretty anti-Republican right now as well, and I do plan on voting for anyone against them if I need to, unless I know they are good. Bachmann is a great conservative in there so she will get my vote, but if I find that another isn't so conservative, I will vote for the democrat before I vote for them.
But the time constraints are what worry me. That is the only real difference from me to you two.

They failed to listen
It is interesting that Smith is great on abortion but, but as with Frank, needed business support that somehow believed this bill would actually help in NJ. What dolts. Bono is a mystery. She is from PS and has seniors as her chief supporters which this bill will kill. Drop by my latest friend.

That they did. Republicans cannot do this stuff if they ever hope to regain any sort of power. I really thought they would be better after two elections of not getting why they are losing power.

Couldn't agree more. They sold themselves out. We need people with actual principles in office, not those who vote for something that isn't even real.

Solution: Vote Out Everyone
The 2010 elctions are coming up and we must send Washington a clear message.
WE MUST ONLY VOTE FOR CONSERVATIVES. If they are a Republican, OK; and if they are a member of a 3rd Party, OK.
No more Liberals, Democraps, or Democrap-Lites.

Exactly. If they aren't people of principle, they need to be removed from office ASAP, even if they are republican.

Spread the word! haha. Im hoping Palin stays in politics in some way to keep conservatives on a linear path. Just think if she had a weekend show on Fox like Huckabee or something. She could make some major headway.
