This was a pretty good article. I just sent it to my dad.

It did remind me of my grandmother. She would get so upset when we would vacation outside the United States. She used to tell us that there were so many wonderful things in this country to see. Her motto was, "love it or leave it."

I also remember something my mother told me. I was only 8 or 9. There was a President in office that was not very well liked. My mother told me, "You may not respect the man in office, but you always need to respect the office of the presidency."

Very intelligent women in your family!!

I do remember my grandmother knocking on her neighbor's door if they did not have a flag out for Flag Day and Memorial Day and of course the 4th of July. She will grill them. The following year, every one had flags flying high.

Yeah, that was kinda my Gram as well. If ou check one of my first TH blogs, you'll see a Memorial Day and Flag Day post. My Gram andI are alike...love it or leave it. And, everytime I leave it, I cannot wait to get back! New Post up, too.
