Still Reading But...

"Is it hard to believe that Dick Chaney, the Vice President of the United States, owns one of the biggest oil and petrolium companies in the United States? No it is not, because it is the truth."

It is not the truth. What company does Cheney own? I know your answer, but I'd love some proof that he owns it.

Not exactly

You stated the VP of the US owns the company. As you are aware by the quote you used, upon being selected as a VP candidate, Cheney resigned from his post(s). It was the famous multi-million dollar buy out that was so heralded at the time before the election of 2000.

From your own source it says "former Halliburton CEO." And while stock holders essentially own a company, Cheney (if I trust the source) doesn't own anywhere near a controlling amount of stock.

So the change should be that Cheney was once CEO of Hali, he at no time owned the company.

Also:

"Having ensured the continued flow of cheap oil from the Gulf by waging a war with Iraq..."

It was Cheney that wanted cheap oil and profit for his future company. It wasn't the UN that decided to remove Iraq from Kuwait.

Interesting language from that source...

Anyway, I think we can at least agree that the world including you and I, could not allow Saddam to rape a neighboor country and that the UN and the US did a good job in protecting Kuwait. And ofcourse protecting a major resource used by everyone.

Special Interests

What i am saying is that the US started the whole thing. BY GIVING SADDAM the weapons of mass destruction. If that never occured then kuwait would not have been invaded.

All decided by corporations that had interests.

He owns $433,000 unexercised Halliburton stock options worth more than $10 million dollars.
check the halliburton link i would call that special interests.Coming to the aid for oil

Wait

...have we agreed that Cheney does not own Halliburton? You seem to have answered me with "What I am saying is..." before addressing my original question.

And what's with:

"References( Just because some people want them)"

Did I offend you by asking a legit question?

Anyway, thanks for the discussion. Enjoy your evening.

References

No i merely was browsing other blogs, and seen that people were really coming down on them. so i decided to add them. Dont get me wrong i am not directing the thing at you. What i am saying is that the other people who are not so "Polite" about it are receiving the blunt of the remark.

You as well have a good evening
