Reagan Weighs In On ObamaCare

How is health care contrary to

liberty? Certainly, to the 45 million Americans who don't have any, they see the lack of access to health care as a lack of liberty. They see access to health care a privilege to which they are not entitled and thus must live without.

I know you dispute the number I am citing. I have seen that disputed before with people citing cbo statistics. But I have yet to see the cbo numbers firsthand.

And it isn't just the 45 million who see health care as a privilege, it is the at least 25 million who are underinsured and who are thus denied services and sometimes even have their policies canceled.

Those who would make the argument that socialized health care is against liberty perhaps have not talked to people from Sweden or England Or Canada. Not that their systems are perfect or without fault, but the people from those countries do not lack liberty.

These same people who claim that socialized medicine is against liberty are actually arguing against social responsibilities and morals. They do so because of reductionism. They embrace the idea that the only responsibility we have is to ourselves. In the meantime, they would put in to motion, by default, a social darwinism. This is doubly ironic because not only do those who reject darwinism embrace social darwinism, many who embrace darwinism abhor social darwinism.

Finally citing Reagan is more of a detriment considering his murderous policies in Central America. He was about America feeling good about itself than the truth. When will conservative Christians be able to free themselves from chains political conservatism?
