Great write up! The responses from the hardcore "townies" should prove to be interesting. Lets see if they can move beyond the tried and true..."but, but, but, he's a kook" lines.

Ron Paul...Republicans' Only Chance...
Yep, I say to the "downtownies" here, "get over it," and let's work together to beat Hillary!
Paul is the only one, Sam, who can beat her for reasons that you list and for reasons that I list in my most recent post here. There are a whole lot of people who are fed up with the way things are going in this country and around the world. Hillary represents more of the same ice cream to keep the "kids" happy, just a different flavor. Obama just adds some sprinkles.

To Be Or Not To Be--A Hardcore "Townie?
Reply to "shrugged0106."
Thanks for the feedback!
You mused, referring to Congressman Ron Paul, as to whether "hardcore 'townies'(might)...move beyond the tried and true...'but, but, but, he's a kook' lines."
See my recent post which is entitled, "Townhall Citizens: Are You a Hardcore 'Townie'?" In it, I suggest why someone may become a hardcore "townie."
I am more interested in reaching the softcore "townies." The way I see things, hardcore "townies" do not question their prized beliefs, because they are on the DOWN side of the UP-DOWN continuum that I discussed in my preceding post on this site. And, of course, they lie to the RIGHT on the horizontal dimension, thus tending toward authoritarianism. Perhaps, this because of growing up with parents who bent them in that direction.
In contrast, Ron Paul's supporters are on the UP side of the vertical continuum and scattered on the horizontal continuum from LEFT to RIGHT.

Shocked!
Well...I guess you can't argue with Ronald Reagan. I wonder what some of the tonwies have to say about this.
