Rep. Abler Answers His Critics

You hit the nail on the head. Did any of the Gang of Six think that maybe by upholding the Governor's veto they could have gotten their "honorable" friends in the Legislature to really take a serious look at the bloated budget and find the billions in wasteful spending and shift that to the roads & bridges where it is truly needed and not wasted on an inefficient subsidized transit.
Maybe after all the audits are done and all the waste cut out and after all other options have been exhausted, then if a gas tax increase was needed, let Minnesotans vote on a tax increase strictly dedicated to roads & bridges.
