I have so say, Resign in Peace, made me laugh. I just keep seeing Buris walking to the capitol and being turned away when he wanted to be a senator. I don't think this is going to end well for him, but if he is like Blago, he is not going away.
Pork-a-my-money bill has been signed. Super! Can't wait for all to kick in.
We are having climate change right now. We have some light rain. Should have a bigger storm later in the week! Go Gore!
Thanks for another entertaining post. I always enjoy them.

Thanks Sue - now you gotta go back and
see the images that I couldn't make work at first. The "shovel-ready" one is so appropriate! Yeah, my part of the "globel" warmed up to about freezing last night - hope to see warming today.
You RACIST - why should Burris go away - others like him (like Alcee Hastings, Charlie Rangel, David Dinkins, Al Sharpton, etc.) won't go away.

Gore's "scientists" are made up of a large % of nit-wits and fakers. Gore is nothing more than the biggest scam artist on the planet and the biggest crook, I might add.
Roland Burris is just a little black dirtbag that lies whenever his lips are moving........like most of the other liberal black dirtbags; enter Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, Obama, Conyers and the rest. To be fair and balanced, I must admit they are accompanied by a raft of white liberal dirtbags. Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, John Kerry Nancy pelosi and too many to name come to mind.
Oh woe is me; we'd better have a bunch of shovels ready, else we'll be up to our eyebrows in donkey-doo.
Truth combined with humor as usual, Garnet. Enjoyed.

Excellent commentary collection!
At the risk of being ex-communicated, I have to say that I feel for Burris. Given what I have seen and read, he was a pawn of sorts. It is clear from visuals that at times he is confused, like a deer in the headlights.
The difference between "global warming" and "climate change" sorta' reminds me of the difference between "baby" and "fetus."
Thanx again for a most enjoyable post, Garnet.

Today, garnet, another wacky group says that they had to revise numbers to show now that climate is the issue and they are meeting in the South Pole to show us all how the bergs are sinking and evaporating. It is still a lie but note that now they are going full bore to counter the info that those 31 thousand scientists know. Obama and Biden are having a conference soon. As to Burris, unless the Leg. decides to counter the ILL state Const. , it will not have a new election. It should. The Dems will keep the seat anyhow.

And yes, I agree - worthless dirtbags are not limited to blacks. There are probably many more white worthless dirtbags than blacks. It's just that the white ones don't usually play the "race" card like the black ones. The white ones have other negative attributes. Regardless of race, they're all incompetent to legislate on the country's behalf, in my humble opinion.

I've long been an admirer of Ted Nugent. As an avid sportsman and self-proclaimed gun-nut, he is one of the few in his industry who isn't afraid to speak up - and he does. If you want a straight, pull-no-punches answer on government policies, just ask Ted.

his actions as Attorney General of Illinois relative to Rolando Cruz proved that he put politics above executing an innocent man. That finished him off in my book and even though he was hornswoggled by Blagojevich and his crew, he is nevertheless a lowlife and not deserving of a U.S.Senator's position.

'Scuse me, Mr. Pesky Truth , but name me a handful of highlifes in the Senate. Being a "lowlife" makes Burris a perfect fit, a colleague in every way.

Your first link was indeed hitting the same sour note that I wrote about - if the theory doesn't work, change the name. I liked all three of the posts!
And no, "beat" doesn't apply - there is more than one way to publicize an issue. So I did strawberry and you do chocolate - we need both flavors.

That's the problem rakoons
The dems are embolden now, with their election wins and all. They don't think that we can be effective in convincing the unwashed masses that climate change is more or less natural. I wouldn't be surprised if we can have some impact on the climate but not to the extent of Gore's assertions. He's as full of crap as the stimulus bill.
I know, you're right about Burris and also right that no matter what, the seat will remain a dem seat. Burris just has more baggage than even the usual Chicago democrat politician.

I looked it up. Lowlife is indeed a synonym for Senator. But that's the problem. With few exceptions (my Senator Cornyn of Texas), they are worthless pond-scum and while he would certainly fit in, we don't need MORE worthless pond-scum. I'm just asking for worthless sewer water as a step up from pond-scum.

Great big bulls-eye on the first one. I suggested that we need to have a "shovel-ready brigade" to deal with all the effects and manure we are going to get. It would make a social statement as well as pork barbecue. In fact, I called the Schumeister's office with that idea. If he thinks Americans don't care about pork, then I have a bridge to sell him...the bridge to nowhere.

Well said! Excellent writeup, Garnet, along with your infamous little asides of Pesky Truth! Bovine excrement!
Don`t believe in goreBULL warming, never have, never will. I was at a party during the holidays with a bonfire outside!! Yet, everyone was sitting around the fire, talking about the detrimental effects of humans on the earth! I could hardly take it and said, "We are here now! I`m not going to kill myself to save the planet!"
Roland Burris is a Senator. He has done nothing that many of his colleagues in Congress have not done. Honor among thieves and liars: Dodd, Frank, Kennedy, Feinstein, Murtha, et al, ad nauseum. He should stay put until the men in the FBI coats come to take him away, he he, ha ha, to the Gray Bar Hotel, where life is miserable all the time ....

respect - the pile at the rear of the donkey is not nearly large enough to represent the bowel movement that is the "stimulus" bill. That's a good idea to have a shovel (with poop remnants remaining on it) as the "trademark" of our new tea party opposition to Obammy's spending.

I just saw today that Burris' son was appointed as counsel for the state housing authority by Blagojevich even though the Internal Revenue Service has slapped a $34,163 tax lien on him and a mortgage company filed a foreclosure suit on his South Side house. Highly qualified, isn't he? That entire Chicago/Illinois political environment is putrid.
Of course, Burris is no more criminal or traitor than so many already in Congress.
