Obama'a Real Estate Purchase

Obama never bought vacant lot

Barack Obama never owned a vacant lot next door to his house. He bought the lot with the house on it. Rezko's wife bought the lot next door. Obama paid 1/6 of the purchase price of the vacant lot for 1/6 of the vacant lot, so that he could expand his yard. Nothing wrong with the deal, other than the potential appearance for what you're suggesting - that maybe, just maybe, there might possibly in some way potentially be some political fallout if people misconstrue what Obama and Rezko did and did not do. The Chicago Sun Times and Chicago Tribune have covered this story extensively and there has never been any accusation that Obama did anything wrong. In fact, Obama has returned all campaign donations from Rezko, as well as all donations tracked back to Rezko's fundraising efforts. Rezko might have done something wrong, and he's on trial for that starting next week. But just because Rezko did something wrong doesn't mean that Obama is at fault, any more than John McCain is anti-Catholic because some pastor in San Antonio is anti-Catholic and endorsed McCain.

Obama'a Real Estate Purchase

March 2, 2008

My original blog does not reference or suggest anything concerning Obama's real estate purchase and his apparent relationship now emerging in the media with the individual cited so as to indicate anything whatsoever as being improper. I attributed a specific remark by Hillary at a Democratic debate that causes the necessity for some uncovering of the facts not newspaper coverage which we have recently seen as being unreliable. The blogger commenting on my entry addresses other tangential issues that have nothing to do with Mrs. Clinton's original allegation.

I also brought up the subject of due diligence and whether that was a factor in whether a poitician should have employed this process in this case or not. That was important and not dicussed in the comment regarding myoriginal blog.

Obama' Real Estate Purchase

August 24, 2008

There seems to be a pattern attached to Obama's lengthy business, personal and religious associations. The ongoing response from Obama for the most part is that he had no knowledge of any questionable activities furthered by each individual. While even now I believe that it was a misplaced remark with respect to Hillary bringing up this matter at a high profile Presidential debate I have to give myself credit for jumping right on this story back in March. AS a retired broker I had some insight to transactions. As a freelance writer, it was my guess that this whole thing was a tempest in a teapot the minute Hillary brought it up. Now in August,as I suspected, it's being
widely displayed.
