Control Through Crisis

This essay expresses exactly how I feel, except I think we are not on the brink of becoming a socialist nation, that moment has long since passed in a silent revolution. The government regulates commerce and controls many aspects of our lives. The means of production are in the hands of an elite. Most Americans are both in debt more than they could ever repay and so poorly educated and informed or simply care less. Children are raised with an entitlement attitude so that they don't think the rules apply to them and they have a poor work ethic. They turn to crime without remorse. My question is, what will our future look like? Will we be able to home school our children? If we refuse to let the state have them, will we be thrown in prison? People are talking openly about sedition and asking questions about whether the military will open fire on civilians on radio shows. I recently watched Dr Zivago. It really scared me how close we are to a Bolshevik Revolution in this country.
