Excellent writting.I agree with disbanding our military and surrendering to our foes. We'd have to play nice then with those nasty terrorists.Maybe they'd leave us alone.I have a suggestion though. If we're going to play nice with everyone, can we make the new national anthem kumbaya?

You'll need a VP
And here's a new Bill of Rights to replace the old:
Amendment 1: Congress shall make no law permitting the offense of the sensibilities of others, particularly of select protected classes, unless their sensibilities are based upon outmoded and overly-judgmental religious doctrines nor shall anyone but the press or the state itself be permitted to discuss political issues within four years of any election. The press may not include any outlet deemed conservative.
Amendment 2: A well regulated governmental armed force, being necessary to the preservation of political power, the right of the government to prevent the private-ownership of firearms shall not be infringed.
Amendment 3: No house shall be deemed to belong to the so-called owner if the government or intermediate taxing authority may deem the property to be of better use to the state. For the use of such property, the government agrees to be a tiny fraction of any real value lost to the property owner.
Amendment 4: The right of people to do whatever they wish with their bodies - or any life that may exist withing - shall not be infringed upon, however, anything not comprising their physical person is fair game for scrutiny in the interests of security.
Amendment 5: No person shall be forced to face trial more than once for the same crime unless we didn't like the outcome and choose to try the perpetrators again in federal court or, if the perpetrators are deemed to have "hate" in their hearts, under statutes criminalizing those thoughts.
Amendment 6: The perpetrator is assumed to be guilty until proven innocent unless membership in a protected class is established. Those engaged in commercial activities - except acting - are deemed to be dangerous and the actual trial process may be foregone entirely.
Amendment 7: In suits of common law or in any other venue, money is deemed to be primarily a resource of the state to be redistributed as deemed appropriate without trial or recourse.
Amendment 8: Bail?
Amendments 9 and 10: These will simply be eliminated. They serve no purpose and have no weight in law, anyway.

Actually, there is a government that
has recently (early 90s) declared all current currency worthless and re-issued new notes, Myanmar, the country formerly known as Burma. The effect was particularly bad because no one kept their money in banks or institutions, so most everyone's savings was tied up in the notes that they kept and thus were entirely wiped out.

The bill of rights you proposed was already adopted wasn't it? I know it happened a while back little by little by some chicks named Sandra and Ruth along with some other dudes in robes. I know I remember reading about it. Anyway, it seems some AP reporters are writing about the current shift to the right and the dangers we face from a Supreme Court that might want to go back to the original bill of rights. We had better keep this in mind next time we vote for Supreme Court justices, huh?
Speaking of the Supremes, they might get called back into action in 08. My prediction: Hillary leads by large margins in the polls right up until the exact moment when they actually start counting ballots. The MSM will assure us shenanigans were afoot since the candidate they told us should win doesn't. Male chauvinist pigs, all of ya. That could be the only possible reason for not voting for her.

You idealistic folks
can volunteer for high-toned positions like VP or Secretary of the Treasury. As a practical idealistic supporter of loyal democrat, and current hog farmer, i only wish to be rewarded by being appointed to head the Department of Transportation. My qualifications are unassailable, since i am an expert in pork.

May I suggest
myself for the Secretary of Religious Activities (newly revamped/renamed Homeland Security)? We should keep an eye on these religious zealots. I am positive that I can provide the same watchful eye that LD currently keeps on insurgents and undocumented workers.

DD214, are you one of those vet retreads like myself?
Naw, I was trying to keep in line with LD's penchant for, shall we say, creative writing skills using current DNC socialist strategy.

Vet retreads!!!! I should say not!!!, I've got at least 20,000 miles left as long as scatch off at stoplights. I can still shoot my M1 good as ever, its just that they are making the bullseye more blurry nowadays.

You are a hoot, man. Loyal Democrat is the best satirist since Jonathon Swift. He has sucked in eveyone at least once. Those of us here are trying to pay him the sincerest form of flattery, imitation.

Talking about blurry bullseye. I can't see the sights but the target is clear and sharp. I have gone to an Aimpoint sight. Makes it much easier and mountable on just about any weapon from bows, pistols, shotguns and rifles. M1 is great but heavy man. KAC has a new PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) that I might take a gander at.
