Across the pond

first time I read your posts

well done, as your other posts are. I have been to Europe before, loved it, and would like to return again someday. Since you are from England I was wondering what is your take on your health care system, since ours may be changed. I like ours the way it is and wouldn't like government intervention at all.

As far as your meeting more democrats, it tends to happen. I've been yelled at just for being conservative. But, possibly in a couple years the U.S. might revert back to conservatism after the mess Obama makes.

Great post. Check my blog out if you're ever bored. I'm considered the younger generation of conservatives.

The picture of the Blues City Cafe kind of gives away the location. Beale St and 2nd in Memphis is a very recognizable spot. I'm surprised you managed to find a conservative in Shelby County since it went 64% for Obama in a state that McCain carried easily.

There are only six blue counties in the whole state and you found the most liberal! HaHaHa!

Thought it would. I was lucky to be there during the international blues competition ... as a member of the audience, rather than a player. I'm not that good yet ...

I love the blues but can't hit a lick. I found that my real musical talent lies with buying guitars for my son who is an accomplish blues guitarist.

"He also serves who fronts the money!"

Guitar lessons

I have reached a comfortable level of mediocrity in my guitar playing. I have been playing for years.

But now, I have decided to take up lessons, and my first lesson is on Tuesday.

I have also been reading up the bible of guitar practice, called "The Principles of Correct Practice for Guitar"
