Good post!
You hit the nail on the head with this one. I wrote a book about this very subject entitled Silenced in the Schoolhouse: How Biblical illiteracy in our schools is destroying America. We have had unconventional warfare against our children in our schools for 100 years now. Likewise, the very heads of law schools in the 1920's who literally proclaimed themself gods turned out the very jurists who gave us the court decisions that allowed this mess to flourish. Too bad most Americans do not have a clue who Marx was and much less what he advocated.

Bob Excellent article!
And I also welcome you to Townhall.
The problem I've been rolling around in my head is How.
How do we the people that have allowed this to happen through lack of vigilance. Undo the damage??
If Obama gets in we may not stand a chance of fixing anything and it will fall to Socialism. It will be extremely hard to do anything. As I feel the voting system along with our Constitution will be trashed.
If McCain is elected, we still must purge all anti-American people no matter where they hide!

Amen Bob!
I just want you to know that you speak for MILLIONS of angry, frustrated Americans.
Although I am totally nonviolent, sometimes I think the only way to restore this nation will be through a full-scale civil war/revolution.
If our elected officials, judges, bureaucrats, etc. continue to ignore the will of the people, then sometimes the only thing left to do is to restore this great nation by physical force.
Whatever it takes, we MUST fight to save America.
God Save America

It's an uphill battle
No matter who gets elected we will have to do all we can do get our system back. If Obama wins it will be that much more difficult. I think we all have to find a way to speak up and stand up to those that have taken the voice of America away. There is much we can do and each must ask himself what segmet of society they can enter to stand and speak up for America values.

The good fight
I personally believe America is ours and their voice is louder than ours. We need to fight the good fight by speaking up, boycotting liberal run media and do whatever it takes to get our point across in a non-violent way. We out number them and are the silent majority. Email, write to the liberal media and our politicians, do whatever it takes. I don't know what else to say. The other alternative is civil war.

Excellent essay, and I also welcome you to the wonderful world of blogging.
You can imagine how I feel in reading this, as in my lifetime I've actually seen most of those changes you're delineated take place.
My contemporaries, those who were protesting and rioting in the streets in the 60s, have now grown up and taken their places as the heads of the institutions as you've described. I, of course, was not one of THEM. But you get my point.
Excellent work.

Hi Bob
Thanks for visiting my blog.
And, welcome to TH and blogging.
This may have been your first post but it was an excellent one to say the least.
How, like Gos, my husband said, is what we keep talking about here at home. How to change this evil force that has invaded our country from within.

IMHO, we're past that. I prefer non-violence but the politicians have stopped listening to the will of those who foot the bill.

And yes, sadly, I agree with you that we may be past the point of non-physical action. When politicians, judges, etc. continually ignore and ridicule the majority of Americans who email, write, call, petition, and VOTE, then what's left for We The People to do?? We either roll over and die or stand up and fight. I say we stand and fight like H*ll and take back our country.

That guy Mark Twain
Mark Twain wrote the following:
For in a republic, who is "the Country"? Is it the Government which is for the moment in the saddle? Why, the Government is merely a servant- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.
Who, then, is "the Country"? Is it the newspaper? is it the pulpit? Is it the school superintendent? Why, these are mere parts of the country, not the whole of it; they have not command, they have only their little share in the command. They are but one in a thousand; it is in the thousand that command is lodged; they must determine what is right and what is wrong; they must decide who is a patriot and who isn't.
Who are the thousand--that is to say, who are "the Country"? In a monarchy, the king and his family are the country; in a republic it is the common voice of the people. Each of you, for himself, by himself and on his own responsibility, must speak. And it is a solemn and weighty responsibility, and not lightly to be flung aside at the bullying of pulpit, press, government, or the empty catch-phrases of politicians.
Each must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, and which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide it against your convictions is to be an unqualified and inexcusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. If you alone of all the nation shall decide one way, and that way be the right way according to your convictions of the right, you have done your duty by yourself and by your country--hold up your head. You have nothing to be ashamed of.
- Mark Twain in "Papers of the Adam Family"
