Let's Talk Diversity!

In order for you to say that Wilson was not heckling, you have to re-define heckling. So you define it as "emotion". There's rightwing logic for you.

You are not a conservative, Jan. Conservatism has had some great ideas over the years. What you are is a rightwinger, a "wingnut". It's not the same thing. You are one of the people who has hurt conservatism most because it has become associated with wingnuts and fundamentalists. Therefore, it's not being taken seriously anymore.

Conservatism will come back when it reasserts itself without all the baggage that's become strapped to it, but it will take several election cycles.

You are also neglecting much of American history. And it's not hating America to recognize what has happened in American history. Discrimination against people who were different was a part of American history. It seems that's an ugly side of our history that you embrace.

I believe you when you say you don't talk to liberals. No one is more unpleasant at a dinner party than the bigmouthed wingnut who can't even exchange pleasantries with the person she knows doesn't hold her political opinions. I've been through that where my friends' neighbor couldn't even look me in the eye because she knew I was against George W. Bush.

Heckling Jan

No Benjamin, I didn't define heckling as emotion. I said Joe Wilson wasn't heckling B.O. Heckling might be what goes on anytime a conservative speaks on most college campuses. One shout of "You lie" is just commentary, emotionally driven but certainly accurate.
I do love how you think you know me. That's rich! I never neglect history, American or otherwise. I read it, devour it, THINK about it, and still conclude we are the best country ever. I am fully aware of our sins and shortcomings. Still, best country ever. Name a better one.
I talk to liberals, of course, since I am related to some and I love them--I just don't discuss anything political with them, because, as I keep having to reiterate, there is NO POINT. It would have to be a two-way discussion, and that never happens with lefties.
You don't know ANYTHING about me Benjamin. I guarantee, GUARANTEE, if you knew me, you would like me. You would enjoy having dinner with me. I am really quite nice, fun and intersting. Have lived all over the world, been an RN since 1980, have a great (immigrant) husband and fine kids and grandkids. Don't presume to tell me who I am. I know. And name calling is SO unattractive. I don't call you names, do I? I generally just call people what they themselves say they are. So B.O. IS a Marxist--came straight from his own mouth. You, don't know what you are, so I'll just call you "Benjamin." Have a great day.

-

Yelling "You lie" during a presidential address is heckling. You can call it something else, but it's still heckling, and it's inappropriate.

And patriotism isn't just about saying your country is the best; find me a better one. George Bernard Shaw: "Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all others because you were born in it."

I'm not sure what history you devour, but I suspect it's written by the likes of Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity.

I have two-way converations about politics with real conservatives. Michael Avari comes to mind. http://americancivility.blogtownhall.com/2009/09/20/there_ you_go_again_jimmy_carter,_race,_and_civility.thtml

I do not have very many two-way conversations with wingnuts, however. They just yell at me and call me a communist (without any basis), just like you call Obama a Marxist, and then justify it by saying it's not an insult because he IS a Marxist (and -- no -- Obama never said he was a Marxist). That's why I'm not really calling you names -- based on your own logic. You are a wingnut, so it's no insult if I call you one because you are one . . . (it just keeps going around in circles, right?).

I do know what I am. I am a liberal atheist who was indoctrinated in Judaism. However, just as there's more to you than what is presented here, there's more to me, as well.

Little Benny Places Foot Firmly In Mouth

Once again little Benny proves himself a leftist Dolt! Jan, you're dead on! This country was once a place where people came be be part of something great. Now the hierarchy of the lest (the Marxist eliteist) preach diversity. in other words, don't work hard, demand an equal share because you are different and therefore you shouldn't have to work hard to succeed. Demand that the government take from the people that work hard to succeed and give to those that do not. The irony of all this is that it's a trap, the Marxist want to take advantage of laziness and trade a small bit of security for liberty. Sadly there are idiots in this country that don't see the whole picture and promote their own demise, right little Benny? Go ahead, keep leading the lambs among the wolves. For every person tha tbecomes a welfare bum, for every family that lives in government housing in poverty, you little Benny are to blame. You are the promoter of failure, the pedeler of poverty. You should be proud!

-

Calling me "Benny" wasn't enough. Now Mr. Wingnut calls me "little Benny". I guess being condescending is supposed to compensate for his lack of reason.

Mr. Wingnut's 'argument' presupposes that everyone who has not succeeded is lazy and don't work hard. I guess Mr. Wingnut has never heard of the working poor, who despite hard work are unable to get out of poverty.

Apparently there was some idyllic time that wingnuts remember when everyone loved the country and worked hard, and everyone did great without the need for any government services. I'm not sure exactly when this period in our history existed, but I suspect that geographically it exists only in the wingnut mind.

Oh Pardon Me!

I guess I should have said wittle Bwenny! You make a poor debate. I'm from poverty. I was raised by a single mom with 4 kids that worked 2 jobs and barely covered the rent. I started working at age 10 to buy food, clothes and help pay rent. I now run a company and employ a large number of people. Don't try to tell me that it can't be done, it can be, and all you need is the will and the desire. I see immigrants that have come from Vietnam and Cambodia that own businesses and great homes that when they came here 15 to 20 years ago had nothing. I have a friend from Mexico City that just made his first million. Why? Because they worked for it. Get off you self righteous high horse. This is the land of opportunity (at least as long as your messiah hasn’t destroyed capitalism) where people can succeed if they have the will and desire. It's people like you that promote failure and hopelessness by preaching that the working poor can't get ahead. It's all a lie, they can succeed. You and your love of failure is your bane. You can call me Mr.Wingnut all you like, but I spend more on lunches every month then you get in your welfare check. That's the age old difference between capitalist and Marxist, in your world everyone is poor but the dictator.

-

I didn't say it can't be done. But many people need some help to even have a chance to get out of it. Sometimes will and desire are not enough.

I didn't quite understand your statement about paying for lunches. Does that mean you are buying lunches for your employees? Is that it? Is that because they . . . need . . . a . . . little . . . help?

You are "0"fer

People DON'T need help from the government! I never got help from the government and I don't want them dictating to me what I can and can't do now! No, I buy my own lunch and my employees buy their own lunches! There is no such thing as a free lunch. When the government hands out lunch, all they want in return is your liberty. I guess you may not miss that, I sure would. But that seems to be the difference between you and I.

Jan

This was an excellent blog read...never been here before, but...It was great...Benjamin doesn't seem to get your position and just accuses you of being intolerant, but actually, he needs a mirror.

I once was at a Brei(cookout), I did not agree with someone and per usual, I ask questions to prove my points. It involves facts, you see. When the liberal man could not defend his answer, he actually said that GWB should be assassinated and that Laura Bush was an alcoholic. Way to go, right?

Needless to say, even my other friends who did vote for the Pied Piper knew what a loser this guy was being.

PS, Jan

I have also lived many places and funny enough, I had the ambition and respect of other cultures to learn conversive language...I even learned the neighbors native tongue because our babies played together.
Why is it so hard for those who come here to live permanently to learn that English is the native tongue?

Nee

What you've experienced from a liberal, I've experienced from rightwingers. Perhaps everyone should take deep breaths occasionally and listen to what the other person is saying. But it's hard when you meet someone at a party, and as soon as they realize you didn't support Bush, they've got their finger in your face, accusing you of being a socialist.

Jim

"People DON'T need help from the government! I never got help from the government and I don't want them dictating to me what I can and can't do now!"

So can I assume that includes abortion rights? That that issue should be between a woman and her doctor without any interference from the government? If that's what your philosophy means, you have my attention and I'll listen to you.

Did you family really get through poverty without any welfare assistance or food stamps or school lunch programs? If that's so, I am impressed and actually admire your family.

Jim

I still don't understand why you made that comment about how what you spend more on lunches every month than what's in a welfare check. What does that mean?

Benjamin

Well- it seems that you are already judging those whom you view to be conservative as right wing nutjobs.

Go to my blog and dig deep for my after action report at a Gathering of Eagles event. Sept. 2007 or read the 2009 tea party story. My husband was asked to talk about the experience by a left minded thinker and then was accused of being stupid...This happens over and over.

And for the record, the only left-minded thinkers I converse with are those who are actually conservative, they just think they are liberal. If one wants to chat about differences and really listen, fine. But once the name-calling starts, I'm pretty much done. And, also- I can give as good as I get.

Nee

So can I.

I distinguish between conservatives and rightwingers because conservatives eschew social issues and the hysteria about Obama and his supposed "Marxism", and are proponents of conservative thinking along the lines of Goldwater and Reagan: limited government interference in our lives, lower taxes, limiting government spending.

Rightwingers are hysterical about social issues such as abortion, gay rights, immigration.

I can talk to conservatives, but am condemned by rightwingers, and I bite back.

What unfortunately happens on-line is that I express an opinion, get attacked and called a socialist, Marxist, or some other names, then I fight back, then I'm accused of being the one who attacked in the first place.

That is correct

we didn't get food stamps, welfare free lunches, section 8 housing...etc, partially because we were white, partially because my father contested the divorce, and my mom couldn;t afford to fight it. Welfare laws in case you don't understand are designed to tear a family apart. That's the way Dimocrits want it, they want a single mom with lots of kids that is forced to depend on the government for everything. That's how it works. You should know this since you worship socialism so.
Abortion rights? You mean do I support the act of killing babies? No! Do you? Do you get a woody at the thought of an abortion doctor crushing the skull of a tiny baby as it exits its mothers womb? Sorry, I'm not a sicko. I understand that liberals don't believe in God or morality, and that the ends justify the means, but how about just a respect for life. Or is it fair game just to kill anyone just because you think they are unimportant? Anyone who supports the murder of babies that can't defend themselves has no right to pass judgement on anything!

Jim

This may be hard to believe, but liberals are not in favor of tearing apart families. I do admire your family for getting out of poverty without assistance. I am, however, speculating that there had to be other reasons why you were not eligible other than your race. Perhaps your parents' split put you in a position where the same income had to support two households, but because there was no divorce the family was still officially above the poverty line?

I don't get a "woody" at the idea of abortion, but do believe in abortion rights. You do want some government interference in our lives if you want to prevent women from being able to make decisions about their pregnancies with their doctors. I also believe that we should do everything in our power to prevent girls and women from getting into the position where they are considering abortion, which would include the availability of birth control and sex education.

The type of abortion you describe -- partial-birth abortion -- is the most sensationalized form of abortion but is not the procedure carried out most frequently. In fact, many supporters of abortion rights are not in favor of that form of abortion.

Also

Lots of liberals believe in a god. I'm just not one of them.

Your Batting Average is not Good

Liberal do favor tearing families aprt, that's why they write bills in a manner that forces families to split up when they are in trouble, there is no other reason to do that. Don't play so naive, it's easier to control a broken family then a solid family. No, my father was a minister, and was below the poverty line. We weren't even close either way to being above the poverty line. Don't kid yourself, race does become a factor, obviously you haven't been there. Also obviously the rules were different then, but still reverse racism was a factor.
So what you are saying is tha tmurdering a baby is OK if you do it in the womb? That is the only factor is that it's in the womb? Please enlighten me at wha tpoint killing a baby is a crime?
I also notice that you didn't condem crushing a babies skull or saying what a horrible, ghastly act it is to do so, hence I can only conclude that you condone the act.
Oh and I understand that your messiahs science czar John Holden favors sterilization, but I don't believe in that either.

-

I don't have to like or feel comfortable with abortion to believe that the decision whether to have such a procedure is between a woman and her doctor. I feel bad for any woman (or girl) who is in a position where she is considering going through a radical procedure late in her pregnancy. But I don't think it's my business.

So let me get this straight

If a woman decides in her...say 60th month that she doesn't want the baby, you may not be comfortable with it, but it's no ones business?

I hope your mom doesn't decide that she doesn't want you after all, but then again, maybe it's non of my business if she decides to abort you tomorrow..

Jim -

When abortion is made illegal, I hope you will change your mind about welfare and social programs to deal with the population boom.

Party at Jan's!

Goodness, this will teach me to go out of town and have no access to internet. Welcome to Nee, and Jim and Benjamin, glad to see you are at it as usual. I think I have to do an actual post, since there is much to address and not enough room here. But I thank you all for visiting.

Hi Jan

Hope you don't mind, we've been partying at your place. Benny is of course the life of the party, he says the funiest things. His stuff is so off the wall, sometimes I take him seriously. But then I realize tha tno one is that silly. Well join the party, the drinks are on you.

Jim

You should take me seriously. My kind of people are running the country and will be for the next 8 years. Party on!

See wha tI mean Jan

Did you get this line? "My kind of people are running the country and will be for the next 8 years" Did Itell you, he is so funny. He says tha twith a straight face, you can actually see it in the post! I almost spewed on the monitor whe nI read that! I was rolling! As if the Marist liar in chief will ever have any power ever again after mid terms. "President Messiah, Obamanation, the one term wonder" Doesn't that have a funny ring to it?

-

Yes. Those are funny names.

But his name is President Barack Hussein Obama.

Jan's Party Continues...Without Jan

Sorry Jim, et al--I've been babysitting grandbabies, killing scorpions in my front hallway, listening to talk radio and wondering if America will survive this bunch, and reading a really great book...but I will get on this blog this weekend if it kills me. You all are such fun. Thanks for hanging around even when I'm AWOL. It isn't on purpose.

Yes. Scorpions.

Here in our little corner of the Wild West, we are calling this the Summer of the Scorpion. After 5 years in this house with very little scorpion activity, this summer has brought us an invasion. One of my daughters has always had them. Her sister down the street from her didn't, but has had a few this summer. Last night, once again, I found one in our entryway. On a happy note, I have finally convinced my husband to beat them to death with a shoe rather than pick them up with a tissue as he has done in the past. The worst thing is, we have three fairly new babies around and we worry about them.

-

How deadly are the scorpions? Aren't there different kinds, so some are more poisonous than others?

Scorpions 101, cont.

Yes, there are many different species. The most common one I've found in my house is a medium sized reddish one. The worst ones we have here are the Bark Scorpions, which are small and almost clear, hard to see, and more apt to cause problems if one is stung. It is harder on small children or very elderly people--but anyone who is stung will experience pain and tingling that can last a number of days. The venom is also neurotoxic, and one way to tell if a child has been stung is that his eyes will roll around or dart back and forth. Very scary! There is no treatment for adults as a rule, but I think some hospitals have antivenin for children. And lastly, these creatures are evil and hellish and the only good one is a DEAD one.

-

OK. That is scary.

Note to self: No more complaining about yellowjackets.

Each Region has it's own Vermin

Yes Benny, in the Southwest it's scorpions, in the south it's roaches, in the northeast it's rats (all kinds), in Kalifornication it's flaming liberals, and in Washington, it's Marxist. Filthy vermin all!

-

Where do you live, Jim, so I know where there's wingnut infestation?

Forget it Benny

I'm hetrosexual... Sorry, I'm not telling you where I live, that's all I need is a wacko stalking on wellfare trying to sneak into my gated community....

Jim, Benjamin, Scorpions & Yellowjackets

Oh I was enjoying talking about creatures instead of politics. Let's get back to that. I am sick of hearing about Max Baucus and the rest of the lying, um, well vermin does seem to fit, and their plans to guv-min-tize health "care." I must say I detest yellowjackets too, one of which landed on my daughter in the pool and stung her just for standing there. Nasty little beasts. Scorpions are the worst, however. We have lots of Black Widows too, but they stay outside, hang upside down in their webs and just wait for flies and stuff to land in the web. If you don't step on one or stick your hand into dark corners in the garage, you won't be bitten. Scorpions, on the other hand, seem to come after you and will play dead hoping you'll pick them up, and those nasty little tails are always up, ready to inject. And yes, Jim, I do see the parallels. Have a lovely evening you guys, and wish me a Scorpion-free night, 'cause three of the grandbabies, including the youngest, are staying over!

US postal service...

Hey Jan, could you box up about 50 bark scorpions and send them to benny, all we have around here are those little white ones and they aren't very exciting, Benny deserves only the best! I think he'd get a real jolt out of them..what's your address Benny?

-

Wingjimnut --

I am also heterosexual, married, employed -- not on welfare. Sorry to ruin your stereotype of liberals.

-

Never mind. I found cites on my own.

I guess all presidents say one thing before they were elected, and do something else after. I still remember how adamantly GWB was against "nation building".

Actually You Didn't Benny

There are a lot of Liberals that are married and actually work! And if they have normal brain function and don't grow up hating everything in the world and actually take responsibility for their own actions and where they are in life, they become Republicans. Or they can go on blaming everything that's messed up in their life on anything but them selves and demand that everybody pays for their lazy no good @$$ and remain a Democrat.
After all, you know the old saying, if you’re not a Democrat when you're 18 you have no heart, if you're not a Republican when you're 30 you have no brain!

-

Hmm. Seems to me it's the rightwingers doing all the hating and blaming lately.

Benny the Atheist

"Benjamin K. Charles writes:
-
Wingjimnut --

I am also heterosexual, married, employed -- not on welfare. Sorry to ruin your stereotype of liberals. "

I can't help to wonder after reading this, did you get married in a chruch benny? Even if you did you will probably just lie anyway like the rest of the other libs and say you did not.

It's ironical that you call yourself an atheist, yet you are married.

Benjamin,

regarding your Oct. 7 comment at 4:47: you forgot the "mmm, mmm, mmm."

Scorpion Update

I don't know if any of you wished me a scorpion free night on Thursday last, but if you did it didn't work. As I entered the kitchen to make coffee, my granddaughter on my heels, I looked down at the baseboard and saw the tiniest little shape, reddish colored, and I knew immediately what it was. It was one of the smallest I've seen, but waving its evil little tail nevertheless. We sprayed it with roach spray, but it continued to wave. So my daughter delivered her usual solution with her shoe. Two in two days is way too many for me.

P.V.P.

I was married in a social club.

"It's ironical that you call yourself an atheist, yet you are married."

Um. Atheists can't be married?

Jan

Jan@Oasis writes:
Benjamin,

I don't get what you are saying. Isn't that the Campbell's Soup slogan?

Atheists and marriage

Well, Marriage came out of religion. It's a very spiritual thing. It does not make sense for an atheist to take part in the tradition because you do not believe in anything spiritual or religous.

So you were married in a social club... Maybe that's true, maybe not. I will never know so I will just take your word for it. So who married you? Captain Nemo? The irony would certainly cake itself on thick if you were married by someone "of the cloth" per say.

Benjamin

Well it used to be! Sort of. Mm mm good was the Campbell's Soup song. Mmm mmm mmm is the chant that the little robots learned in the New Jersey school. You know, "Barack Hussein Obama, mmm mmm mmm." Sort of like the songs that Hitler Youth used to sing, or the chants praising Chairman Mao, which the little children learned and parroted, because if they didn't, Dear Leader's henchmen would come and haul them off to re-education camps. My husband's older brother was required to belong to Hitler's Youth. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Benjamin

I, for one, am happy you are married. I do think marriage is a religious as well as a civil union, or if it is not, it doesn't mean as much. The vows one takes before God somehow have more weight and solemnity than those one might take with a JP or other such civil officiant, simply because one is calling in a higher authority. Man is not much of a higher authority in my opinion.
But at any rate, good for you and I hope you have a long and happy marriage and that at some point you will realize that without God there is no real standard for right, wrong, good, evil, etc. What, something is good or evil because some random PERSON says so? Don't think so. This is how we got secular humanists such as Peter King, who thinks parents should be able to kill their baby up if it doesn't measure up to their expectations or desires. Well, why not? If he says so, why is another person any more right than he is? See, slippery slope down which I don't care to go.
Now you all play nice. Wish each other well. Wish me NO MORE SCORPIONS because I have surely had enough of them and if anything came straight from hell, it's these awful, nasty little beasts.

-

So now I can't be married according to this guy because I am an atheist. Can I be a heterosexual at least? Can I own a pet? Can I go shopping at Stop 'n Shop? I can hardly wait to hear what I'm not 'supposed' to do unless I believe in a god. This is priceless.

Jan -- Remember that I was raised in religion, and have come to reject it as an adult. I find that religion does as much to tear people apart as to bring them together, if not more. If religion works for your religion, that's fine. I'm just hoping that P.V.P. doesn't decide that sex is also a religious thing, and I shouldn't be doing that either.

Correction

". . . if religion works for your marriage . . ."

Note to self: Proofread!

No Benny

" now I can't be married according to this guy because I am an atheist. Can I be a heterosexual at least? Can I own a pet? Can I go shopping at Stop 'n Shop?"
No you can't, stop trying to act human Benny...

See Jan, the Roach Spray doesn't work!

PS: Normal rational people don’t go off on a type-o Benny, only the crazy, anal retentive, obsessive compulsive wackos make an issue out of type-o's and then sit back smugly thinking how superior they are because they caught a type-o. You must be very annoyed at yourself right now, but then I'm sure you're feeling quite superior to yourself for catching your own type-o.

Just so you know, we don’t care, life is too precious to act like a moron over something so trivial.

Jim

I don't question my humanity, and my catching my own typo does not qualify as "going off". Why don't you try chilling.

No Time!

People are still writing comments on this post and I haven't even had time to write anything new. The country is going down so far and so fast that I hardly know what to tackle first. Plus, the swine flu has visited us, and I've been grandbabysitting even more than usual. On a happier note, the score is: Jan 6, scorpions 0. I vow to write more next week, or maybe this weekend...oh wait, my grandson's first birthday party is Sunday. Well, soon, anyway....:-)

Jan

How have you done against the rock group The Scorpions?

The Scorpions

Actually a fan of the Scorpions! They're from Germany you know, like my hubby.

Jan

Well, you are going to have to admit to having something in common with a liberal because I like the Scorpions, too. The Germans I met back in the 1980s treated the Scorpions like the Irish treated U2 and would abide no criticism of them.

I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to hit Klaus Meine with a shoe.

Benjamin

No problem having something in common with you. I actually know the words to a lot of the Scorpions' songs because two of my daughters were teens at the time and played them endlessly--plus, well, I am just one of those people who is genetically programmed to remember song lyrics. One of my few talents. :-)

Chilling

Hmmm who's "chillin"? Why that being me! You're still being all up tight and AR Benny. Don't be so touchy! Don't worry, all of this stupidity the Marxist wackos are doing will get undone and it will be at least 3 terms before a Dimocrit even has a shot again at the white house.I still like the sound of that, Obamanation, the one term blunder

Jim

You are not chilling at all, and you are wrong. Spending too much time on townhall.com and at tea parties has led rightwingers to believe that they are going to dominate in the next election. Actually, you are scaring most voters away from the Republican party with nutty behavior, kind of how the leftwingers drove voters away from the Democrats after 2000. Very bad strategy.

We Have Nothing to Fear...

...but people like Benjamin who are "scared" of the only Americans trying to protect our freedom--conservatives, some of whom are Republicans--but cannot bring themselves to face and acknowledge the islamic terrorists and Mao worshippers right under our noses and in our government. And I will continued this on my blog. 'Cause I'm really, really mad.

Hmmm

Let's talk wrong Benny:

The White House sends out lies every day thinking that Americans are so dumb that they won't figure it out. Well some of us have. Some of us KNOW that unemployment is really around 20% and the Obama bail out was stupidity at it's best. Some of us KNOW that the intention of Obamacare is to destroy the medical industry and force all of us onto a single payer system. Some of us KNOW that taking over control of comapnies is Fascism. Some of us KNOW the Constitution and KNOW that he is violating it. Some of us KNOW he is a total dolt and will only be a "one term blunder" Some of us KNOW that the media is full of leftist losers that worship socialism and don't have the brains to realize that they would be told what to write and how to write it in a socialist governed country. And some of us KNOW that ignorant people like you Benny will defend Marxism because you blindly follow the the lead sheep to the slaughter. But we also Know that the American public is sowly figuring all of this out, and as they do, the cowards on the left will all scurry into the cracks like the filthy little roaches they are. Where will you hide benny?

Benjamin--"scared?"

Read your Oct. 30 12:40 comment.

Jan

That comment did not mean that I was scared. "Scaring away voters" should not be interpreted as actual fear. Perhaps I should have said that you are going to drive away voters. I do believe that that's the case if the townhallers and tea-partiers continue to act so nutty.

Benjamin--"scared?"

"Perhaps I should have said that you are going to drive away voters."
Hmm.. Lets see...

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/doom_and_gloom_for_de ms_in_polls_5WMBAduonLvSsMfLy7L1UO

So a liberal paper says that the Dems are driving voters to the Republicans.... All the polls show this same trend, so how did you draw this conclusion?

I'm pretty sure I should be wishing you good luck on your recovery, as you are delusional.

Jim

The New York Post a liberal paper? Really? Maybe back in the 1970s, but not now. You are even more ignorant than I thought, which was pretty damn ignorant.

Typical Liberal, avoid the fact

Ignor that I proved you wrong, change the subject!

The Fact proves you WRONG!
You're wrong!!!
You're wrong!!!
You're wrong!!!
You're wrong!!!

Jim

Do you need to change your underwear now?

Let's see how the next two big elections go (2010 and 2012). Just so you don't try to box me into a corner, my position is this: The Republicans will get back some of the seats they lost in 2008 in 2010, and Obama will win in 2012 but not by as large a margin as he did in 2008. One of the factors in the limited Republican gains and their loss of the presidency again will be how far to the right the party has gone since Obama won. Extreme positions do not attract voters; the Democrats demonstrated that in 2004 when the anti-Bush sentiment (although justified) went too overboard for many voters.

That's my position. It's my opinion. And it can't be dismissed as "wrong wrong wrong" and you spraying your shorts just because the loony tune New York Post says something else.

I'll use your own comment

"Extreme positions do not attract voters" the wacko nutbag Marxist, Facist extremist in Washington are SO far to the left, they are chasing the independents to the conservative side. Furthermore the IDIOTS (and I can't sa ythat strongly enough) in Washington have dos such damage to the economy that by the midterm elections true unemployment will be around 25% (it's around 20% now) and inflation will be kicking in. Dimocritters will be lucky to get through the elections without being tarred and feathered (which they deserve)and run out of town on a rail. They will be run out of town, the right will be in the majority after midterms and then your Messiah, Lord and master the Obamanation will be powerless. Then when 2012 comes around, Your messiah may not even get the nod.

Did you get excited thinking about my underwear, you're not right!

Jim

Normally, I'd agree that the Democrats will get thrown out because of the economy. But the other influence in this election will be wingnuttiness driving independent voters away.

We will just have to wait to see who is right.
