If the Pope were considering the "Global Warming" thug's fantasy as a metaphor for man's spiritual depravity and reckless disregard for his "likeness" of God, I would be at ease with the statement.

Just as you, however, at the moment, I must believe that he has fallen victim, at least momentarily, to the vile machinations of the most ambitious thieves and usurpers the world has know.
