The Allen Attack

You might be on to something:

"You may not know it now, but if you look very closely and interpret the media attacks on Sen. Allen, you may just be looking at the true frontrunner for the GOP in 2008."

Where there's smoke, there's fire, as they say.

I'm for Allen

Anyone elected to the Presidency should be or have been a governor or at minimum a mayor.

Flag,

stop by my blog for intermission (give yourself a break from putting out all these great blog posts).

A Contrary Viewpoint

As a Virginia voter, I will support Allen's re-election to the Senate. The issues facing our nation are too important to trust in the hands of a cipher such as Jim Webb.

However, although George Allen is no racist, he fails the "stupid test". I've seen him speak countless times, and literally every speech reveals a shallow intellect. There's plenty of talent available to the Republican/Conservative ticket in 2008. The media may have simply done us a favor by sparing us a less-qualified alternative.

One other thing ...

Great site. I'll visit again.

Thanks for your work and 'educted remarks'. As a Christian woman(never mind bennyboy...the golden retriever's name ;) } I'm reading constantly and am so relieved to have found Town Hall. I'll visit again, and always look forward to your comments as I do others.

Don't judge the man by the speeches he gives, judge him on his positions and the work he does. Bill Clinton was the master of slick public speaking and he never accomplished anything that mattered in 8 years in the Oval Office.

And I stand by my assertion that the attack on Allen is all about the '08 race. George Allen may not be an electrifying speaker, but he is one of two Reaganite conservatives in the race, along with Mitt Romney. The liberals and their media accomplices do not unleash this tpe of vitriol on a candidate unless he is a real threat to them. Allen threatens them because he is a real conservative, he believes in a muscular national defense, and he can connect with voters like nobody's business. If he wasn't a threat, they would not be doing all they can to defeat him and sully his reputation right now.
