It seems that the comments sections on right-wing blogs are a little more gracious when prominent liberal is threated with health trouble. Still I wonder what it will look like when Cindy Sheehan or Michael Moore is in that position? Time will tell.

The stats you just posted to my blog "Fear of a New economic paradigm" proves my point. Although I generalized, the basic premise is still true--without the benefits the military provides, many military families would NOT have the greater disposable income you provided in your stats. It IS true that many who join do so because a) they did poorly in school, b) to get away from their small town c) to avoid college or d) because of they feel they can't compete for high-paying jobs. The reason I know this is because I was a recruiter for the USAF. Most recruits do not last beyond six years. Only a very few actually retire. I don't know the exact number, but it is around 8 %, which is extremely low. Get back and read more of my blogs. I love comments, whether they are wrong or not.
