Check out the REAL Sicko pictures...
Great post Tzimisce. You hit it on the nail! Awsome post.
I wanted to point out some pictures I got from a real doctor in Cuba. These are pretty tame, but show the REAL Cuban healthcare...I bet they didn't show any of these on Sicko!
The pictures are featured on my blog at:

Perhaps you have missed the point
Moore isn't arguing that we should all go to Cuba for health care. He's arguing that we should be able to get it here, in America.

Socialized medicine sucks.
Do you really want politicians in charge of your healthcare?
One of the problems with our healthcare system right now is that the government is involved (with HMOs, medicare, medicaid, etc.)

Ah, that's the heart of the debate. Moore's movie makes an eloquent case that it DOESN'T suck. I'll grant you it's probably not as good as he makes it look, but it's certainly not the hellish disaster that Americans have painted it to be.
Eliminating the insurance companies would take out an element of inefficiency from the system that would more than make up for subsidizing the poor folk.
And more importantly it would provide a safety net - when the next plague hits, do you really want to stick by your guns that no one gets treated unless they can afford it? Do you want to bet your own health on poor people being responsible enough to take care of theirs? Bird Flu's a-comin. Let's see how the free market plays THAT out.
