WELL THIS SUCKS
I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE PART WHERE FAILING TO RE-REGISTER YOUR FIREARM RESULTS IN THE INABILITY OF SAID FIREARM TO BE RE-REGISTERED.
QUESTION:
Sec. 58-132.5. Unregisterable firearms.
No registration certificate shall be issued for any of the following types of firearms:
(c)Handguns, except:
(1)Those validly registered to a current owner in the County prior to the effective date of this Ordinance, and which contain each of the following:
DOES THIS MEAN NO REGISTERING OF NEW HANDGUNS?
HOW DO YOU LIKE THE "FINGERPRINTING" FOR I.D. IDEA?

No vote on it yet it was sent to committee. I have been trying to find out if and when it will be voted on. The way I read it was 9 out of 10 hand guns made would not be able to register. You also would not be able to register new guns, all the gun shops in the county would be shut down in the one ordinance. So you would not be able to buy amunition in Cook County, whether you could bring it in or not I don't know.
P.S. please tell everyone you know in and around Cook County about this.

Re: Answers
Will do. I also noticed the part outlawing ammunition, of sorts.
I don't own a gun, but I do like to frequent the gun range on occasion. If I want to buy 500 shells (cheaper, as you know), but only want to shoot 100, the other 400 are would be illegal for me to keep.
