"Talibanstan": A serious thorn in our side

That is where the people of Pakistan are stuck in.

Since as long as I can remember the people of the majority of the people which live in the "stan" countries sway with the wind...very similar to the Leftinistra.

As long as we're siding with them, their stupid negotiations with the Taliban, and by de facto relation, al Qaeda what happens there will affect us.

To quote a cheesy movie that I have to occasional guilty pleasure of enjoying from time to time: "It comes down to numbers; they have more. You disagree with my decision? Well, too bad. We're in this for the species, boys and girls."

And on this particular subject, our enemy definitely has us in the numbers category, and until Musharraf pulls his head from his rear, we're going to be dealing with them for a long time to come. Personally, I'd be apt to simply bomnb the snot out of the regions the Taliban controls, but they won't play well with our allies.

Sometimes, it might be a bit beter to play the proverbial bull in a china shop if you want results.
