Didn't watch much of it

Caught bits and pieces, though.
From what little I did see, McCain looked better. Where the h@ll has he been??

I asked the same.

Though it is possible I was right and he was waiting to hit Obama with everything in the last few weeks. But I think he held back a little too long.

Still, he is far from out. The media says Obama is +15 or so, RCP says +7 to +9, and even those are likely skewed by name recognition and ACORN distortion of voter distribution (which is reflected in the demographics they choose to poll).

Still an open race. So we will have to wait and see.

Wish I'd seen it

but my co-workers wanted to watch 'Project Runway" instead. I am so grateful for TiVo. I'll watch the thing when I get home.

I did enjoy your comments, though, made me look forward to the real thing.

I think McCain did well. And I know it is not wishful thinking, as McCain actually rubbed me quite the wrong way with his opening, but once he found his stride, he did very well.

And Obama came across rather petulant. My wife caught just the very end, but when McCain mocked his final answer, my wife mentioned Obama's "pi*sy" look.

More peculiar was Katie's focus group that seemed to largely favor McCain. I could only stand Katie for a few minutes, but the group seemed pretty strongly pro-McCain, which is odd for the MSM.

I watched late last night

TiVo is a beautiful thing. I thought McCain did pretty well, as well. Of course, not being a communist, I am somewhat biased.

One thing I did noticed, both in this debate and the Vice Presidential debate, is that Obama and Biden would laugh, almost to the point of eye-rolling (which I do believe I saw Obama do at the end last night), whenever McCain or Palin would call them on a falsehood they had made. It looked to me almost like "You got me on that one." I didn't see this from either of the Republicam candidates. I thought it curious.

Obama did do that several times, and once or twice instead he looked almost annoyed. I didn't think either came across very well.

I also think he may have been a little less than truthful when he said his only contact with ACORN was a single Motor Voter Case in Indiana. At least McCain mentioned "Oh, and you gave them hundreds of thousands of dollars..."
