Hate Speech Part 2

With all due respect to Ann, we, as Christians, MUST be the example to which others strive to be like. For starters, Ann used an example straight from Hollywood of all places. We all know what Hollywood thinks of Christians. Why choose an example from those who live to despise Christians and make movies and television shows that mock our faith? Secondly, the forum at which she made this comment was filled with very impressionable young Christians, who look to people like Ann for guidance and leadership examples. How will her joke affect those in attendance; only God knows? And last, a Christian in the spotlight, such as Ann, should at all times, be discerning and aware of her surroundings and strive to be a true example of Jesus' love. I can't remember ever reading in the Bible any stories about Jesus making fun of someone. As Christians, the whole world is looking at us and just waiting for us to screw up and show that true Christians are hypocritical. We must rise above the rest of the world and walk in the integrity that Jesus Christ reflected in His own life, death and resurrection. We must show the world the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Of course, she goofed up. Even wearing a cross upsets most Christians when we know as Christians, conservatives or Republicans or all 3 we are always on awaiting Leftist attacks. No one is really saying Ann should have done it. But, it is to the hypocritical reactions from the Left that infuriates many. The Left uses filthy lingo, hate speech, all the time and never,never gets called on it. This approval of Ann on many blogs is simple frustration with that double standard.
