John Edwards to run in '08

...thinking? I thought NC was a red state. But you know, Edwards can draw some votes. When it comes to the Dem's its all about Entertainment Value. (I have an opinion piece on my blog about this if you have time)

Its kind of like a reality show or the WWF. Voters these days are so fickle and mixed up. They view the political arena the same way they do American Idol or Survivor. Merry Christmas.

That's an excellent point. Earlier this year Edwards spoke at Gnomedex, mainly because he's a politician with a podcast. For the most part he avoided politics (I think he was encouraged not to, so why have him there?) and he spoke about the future of technology. Really? Edwards is a technology expert? No! He's running for president and was just there to draw people to the conference. "Look it's John Edwards not talking about politics!" He didn't really have anything to say.

That's why my sisters voted for Drop-Trou Bubba. He's soooooooooo good-looking and talked so nice!

It's why women voted for Warren G Harding, the Second most corrupt POTUS after Clinton. It was the first time that they could vote and did so because Harding was good-looking.

Rest assured, it'll happen again.

Living in NC I had the unfortunate and dubious honor of calling John Edwards, "Our Senator from NC." The problem with my last statement is, "Our Senator," was never here. North Carolinians were beginning to wonder where, 'Boy Wonder' was, because he sure as hell wasn't representing North Carolina.
When John Edwards ran against Loch Faircloth he promised North Carolinians the world, but most in the rural country didn't buy the slick lawyer's rhetoric and didn't vote for him, but it was the large liberal enclaves in the Raleigh/Durham, and Charlotte cities that put John Edwards over the top to get elected.
What did North Carolina get from slickster from Charlotte, Nada, nothing, zip, zero, the man was so busy promoting himself and his run for the Presidency he completely forgot what state he was from. The main reason John Edwards didn't run again for Senator is that he knew that North Carolinians wouldn't even vote him into office of dog catcher.
John Edwards is a lying, scheming, conniving, three faced trial lawyer who would sell his own mother if he knew it would get him elected. John Edwards is the type of weasel, excuse me person that would jam a butcher knife between your shoulder blades and then while he was twisting the knife he would look into your eyes and whisper into your ear, "Friend, I feel your pain, let me help you."
Wake up America don't be fooled by that Southern charm, he's nothing more than a snake in the grass trial lawyer and he'll jam in to America just like he jammed us in North Carolina.

The wealth he amassed was through frivolous lawsuits against the health care industry. With this extortionist as president, not only will our taxes raise sharply but iminent domain laws will be used to confiscate most privately owned property. We will become the United States Socialist Republic.

I didn't realize he didn't even run again for his Senate seat. That definitely puts a new spin on him in my view. So...I guess that means you North Carolinians don't really want him anymore.

Gov. of Texas? Hardly..... we have a very unusual way of doing things here. The Gov. has very little power or authority. The Lt. Gov. is in charge.

No, W. had zero qualifications for the job, and has proven to be a disaster.

John Edwards is both the best and the worst candidate the Democrats have fielded. The worst for the country, but the best for the Democrats. He has a real chance of winning over B/Hillary and Barack Hussein Obama precisely because of his (white male) looks. The trouble is, he's a crook; a showman and a hickster.
