That was Ronald Reagan
He didn't leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left him.
As for the current candidates? I agree, no inspiration at all. Fred Thompson is my hope but he is hiding somewhere. Maybe waiting out everyone else?
Who knows? But someone needs to stand up and take control. Just like Reagan.
BTW, emmmjay, if you will email me at munforddan at that yahoo place. I can help you with your links.

Fred
Thanks for the offer!
I was very enthused about Fred when I first heard about him, got on his website, joined the early group trying to get him to run, but now haven't had much enthusiasm because I don't feel it from him.
Read Ann Coulter about Huckabee! Yipes!

Ann Coulter...
MMMmmmm... Oh wait, where were we? Oh yeah, Republican candidates.
I've gone through the same deal as you concerning Fred. I can only hope that there is some kind of method to this maddness.
Being from Tennessee, I can assure any and everyone that Fred Thompson would make a wonderful President. He could lock up the nomination and win the general election in a landslide if he would just DO SOMETHING!
ANYTHING!
It's almost like campaining is beneath him. A fine trait, but doomed to failure in an election.
As for Huckabee? I have the same reaction as you also. Many bloggers are calling him a Republican Jimmy Carter and I agree.
On to Ann Coulter now... one of the highlights of my week is reading Ann's newest column.
I love her.
In closing, you're welcome. You have a good blog but you need to set your links better. An internet friend of mine... Madelines Dad of Where Are My Keys? (I can't link in comments yet but he's on my blogroll) has helped me so much that I could never repay him... except to pass on what he has taught me.
Why I am rambling on in your comment section I do not know. I should be posting this at my blog!
So click over later on (It may take until Friday)and I'll link to jevica's post. javica does not know this, but he was the second blogger to ever link one of my post.
A day that will live in infamy.
No link for you until you can do it right. Okay, maybe one, so clean your site up. As many as one or two people may be coming over to check out your blog.

links
I found out what I did wrong with the jevica link and fixed it. It works now.
All it was was I wrote www in it and it doesn't belong there. That is what must have happened with the other address I tried to leave also.
We sure agree on a few things. Coulter is the highlight! Love her sarcasm!
What's this about people coming to check me out? Do I need to get white-glove clean?

"white-glove clean?"
Yes indeed you will need to get your blog white-glove clean.
My legions of fans... numbering in at at least one or two... will soon be invading your blog.
Can you handle the traffic?
As far as "links". You wrote in this post:
"Just finished reading jevica (at http://jevica2003.townhall.com/ )and I agree... no inspiration from these candidates!
How about this instead:
"Just finished reading jevica and I agree... no inspiration from these candidates!"
javica would be highlighted with a link to his blogs frontpage. Then you can link the specific post. I still can't do a Townhall link in comments so pretend that all capitalized words are links...
"Just finished reading JEVICA and I agree...
no inspiration from these CANDIDATES!"
The word Candidates would link to the specific post.
Then you can rant and rave all you want.
The same as I do.
