Ramification of Homeschooling

sheltering from the "real world"

My 14 year old son attended public school until last year. He was "exposed" to children from all walks. It was the "all walks" children who made my hubby and I decide to Cyber school our son.

I am only sharing part of his public school experience of the real world that made us decide to go to Cyber for his education:

One day I was called to the school because my son stood up in class and told the kid behind him "do that again and I am going to punch your lights out" . The boy behind my son in this class was poking and punching my son in the kidney area for days. My son handled it his way but as the truth came out the boy behind my son was being bullied in gym by another kid so he decided to take it out on my son during the next class by hitting my son.

In the hallway (changing classes) another kid spit on my son. As I spoke to the principal about this incident I was supposed to feel sorry for this "spitting" kid because he has a "bad home life".

My son came home and told me Joe so and so called the teacher a C*nt in class today. Nice!

You can keep your worldly experiences --I will continue to Cyber school my son.
