I was fortunate enough to be raised by a woman that was born in the late 1800's, and was a school teacher.My wonderful Mother taught me the love of my God, and the love of my country.

I was taught to stand firm for either. And I will!!! It breaks my heart to see what the liberals are trying to do to this country. And with what strength I have left, I will go down fighting.

I didn't have patriotism drilled into me by my family, but I did notice that my grandfather had discharge papers that mentioned every US Army battle in WW1, and that my father had been a paratrooper in the 50s, and that an uncle had been a Marine in the South Pacific and Korea then became an Army Airborne Officer and served 3 tours in Vietnam, and that another uncle was in the Marine Reserves during Vietnam. The boys in my neighborhood played sports when the weather was good, and built model warships and warplanes when it wasn't. We all had Army fatigue shirts from the local Army-Navy stores. During the summer we camped in the backyards in 2-man OD pup tents, with our pellet guns stacked beside the tents.

I think you'll find that, in most of this country, teachers are center-right. The problem is that the curriculum, texts, etc. are not. For whatever reason, California is looked at as the model to follow, so whatever California does, the rest of the nations schools soon follow. Even in red states, they tend to adopt whatever strategy/curriculum/etc. that California is lauding. Of course, in hard core blue areas, the teachers will be leftists, but then what would we expect? If we could find a way to be the ones setting the agenda as far as curriculum and textbooks go, we would take a huge step towards mitigating the damage the leftists cause in our schools.

You still are a moron. Show us in the Constitution where a Nativity scene is forbidden at City Hall. Here's a hint...you can't. The First Amendment states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof". You will note that this sentence, which is written in simple English, clearly states that the only church-state violation would involve Congress making a law. If the Nativity scene is placed by the town council, or even the state government, it is perfectly Constitutional.

Oh, and in regards to your marriage argument, all persons in the US have equal rights regarding marriage. They can marry anyone that they chose as long as certain qualifications are met. They must be of age, of sound mind, human, not a blood relative 1st cousin or closer (some states allow 2nd cousins), not currently married, and of the opposite sex. Looks like equal rights to me.

Show me where the Constitution forbids nativity scenes. Anywhere. Says congress can't establish a religion but last I looked the city fathers of Spudsville, Idaho aren' the US Congress and them wanting to put up a nativity scene in the town square sure isn't an establishment of a state religion by congress.

You know as well as I that U.S. courts, citing the Constitution, have repeatedly ruled that public property may not be used to display religious icons or symbols. People who do not subscribe to religion have equal rights to enjoy THEIR property without being propagandized or evangelized. There are a million Christian churches in the U.S. that are the proper venues for nativity scenes and other expressions of childish, stupid superstition.
