Disagree on Afghanistan
I am a retired field grade Officer. Click my name for my blogs and you will see. I retired 30 June 09. Spent two tours in Iraq, one on division staff. Also did Bosnia with IFOR in 96 and Kosovo (company command) in 2000. Oh and 6 months in Kuwait in 94. So I know Arab and Muslim Culture very well.
First the only way to get PRESIDENT Obama out of office is to vote him out at the next election. He is legally the President and as much as we don't like it we have to deal with it.
The only areas I agree with President Obama is on keeping Sec Gates, and so far allowing Gates to run the show in Afghanistan. The shake up in leadership was neccessary just like moving Gen Petreaus into Iraq and moving Casey out ( I worked with Gen Casey in Bosnia,Kosovo and Germany and like him but was time for him to go, his wife Sheila impressed my wife greatly when we were young).
The step up of predator attacks in Pakistan are having a great effect and the Marine offensive underway in Afghan is going well.
Don't put your hatred of Pres Obama interfere with your love of Amercia.
We need to fight him on his Socialism, healthccare, Cap and trade, foreign policy, tax increases and deficit spending. But so far he has been hands off in Afghan and Iraq letting Gates and Gen Petreaus do what is needed

Tinsldr thank you for your comments and your service. We all have our perspectives, and I appreciate yours. I also am a retired field grade officer – AF O-5 – and suppose you read my brief bio. I found your blog entries but was unable to find your bio.
Your active duty service is more current than mine, but I rely also on a wealth of media sources and first hand reports of current, more recent military members like my son. He retired from the AF as an O-5 also F-15E pilot in September 2008. He served also over Bosnia, Kosovo, the Northern Iraq No-fly Zone from Incirlik, Turkey, Qatar and for a brief period at Kirkuk, Iraq.
You and I will have to agree to disagree on your major points. Waiting for the 2012 election is not the only way to get Obama out of office. Obama is doubtfully serving legally as POTUS/CINC. He could prove easily he is by releasing his many documents showing natural born citizen status and citizenship, as well as his campaign finance records.
There is no question Obama is hiding his records in the face of 36 still active lawsuits in 36 states and challenges to his authority by military members in ranks from relatively new recruits to general officer and status as Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and recently retired subject to recall to active duty. The only questions are what exactly is Obama hiding and why.
I and close friends of mine served on active duty with Gates. His reputation is as a suck up who tried to hold back on any comments until he believed he knew what his superiors wanted to hear. The general officers we served were not pleased with Gates and he lacks favor now with active and retired military members. He has not done the services much good as SecDef.
Am I wrong about General McChrystal’s record being tainted by abu Grhaib and his involvement in the attempted cover up of Tillman’s death by “friendly fire?” (cont.)

The troops presently in Afghanistan are calling it Stalingrad and Dien Bien Phu due to Obama’s relying on the Russians for a northern resupply base; the mess in Pakistan including vulnerability of their nuclear stockpiles to Islamic jihadists; Obama’s failure to obtain more combat troops from NATO, only a promise of noncombatant election watchers and trainers; inputting more U.S. troops; and more recent changes to rules of engagement approximating those in the JFK/LBJ and their Best and Brightest failed Southeast Asia debacle.
Obama’s hands are in all of this as POTUS/CINC. HST said it well, “The Buck Stops Here.”
I do not agree with your assessment of the Predator attacks in Pakistan or the current Marine offensive in Afghanistan, nor do present active duty, responsible commanders, Gates and NATO leaders. The rising casualty figures and the Taliban initiatives and successes do not bear you out on those points either.
You assume falsely I hate Obama and love the U.S. less because of him. I do not do either. I do not hate at all as a matter of fact as a Christian believer. I believe I have made my argument well that Obama hates himself and the U.S. There is no doubt he ran as a Black Supremacist Muslim at best strongly influenced by Socialists, Communists and terrorists on “hope for change” in the U.S. he hates.
Continuing to engage Obama on the nitnoy details, distractions I call them, and fretting over the deck chairs while Obama systematically sinks the Good Ship U.S. A. is exactly what Obama wants, a part of his strategy and tactics. (cont.)

I am not a “birther” by the way. That is a propaganda term that it took Obama’s handlers some months to contrive in an attempt to disparage those who want the president of the U.S. to be unquestionably Constitutionally eligible with clean campaign financing. A birther is in fact anyone who believes Obama is Constitutionally eligible and has proven that he is. Clearly he has not done so. I do accept being called a Constitutionalist and Right Wing Extremist as defined and identified by Obama and Janet Napolitano.
Obama, his handlers and the Liberal Democrat Congressional leaders are using the same tactics in attempts to discredit protesters of ObamaCare in any form.
Do you question that you have had to provide a raised seal, certified copy of your real, vault BC to serve our country as you have? Do you disagree that a kid who wants to play Little League Baseball or PeeWee Football has to provide evidence of eligibility to play?
